I am happy to see your moral frame work. I read it in the Bible.
The question is why does the Bible want us to think it's way.
There should be a logic trail leading to the answer of why should we hate homosexuals.
If you cannot show that logic trail then you loose. You cannot hate just because the book says so. Unless of course you are a useless sheep who cannot explain why you take a certain path.

I have explained.

You maintain the false premise.

If you insist on logic from others, use it yourself.

It is not a question of winning or losing in some innane debate with a faceless entity on the other end of a computer line. It is a question of eternal comfort or torment.

If you and others like you can convince everyone the issue is winning a verbal debate, then you have won the battle. However, you have not won the war. The war is already won, by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

When you die, try to argue with Him. You won't be able to. You will realize this too late to help yourself. I pray that He enlightens you and you have time to accept his atoning sacrifice and repent.

Keep telling the lies. If you say it often enough someone will believe.

If one of my offspring came to me and said he hated gays and I asked his why and he said because the Bible tells him to I would probably slap him silly for being stupid.
We should have a better reason to hate than just the fact that a book tells us to.
If any here cannot find a better reason to hate then you are by my standards, stupid.
I do not like to use this kind of language but people should need good reasons to hate. Not just "Duh, it says so here".

DL

Again, telling someone they are behaving badly and should not behave that way is not a form of hate.

You went a step further in your description of what you'd do to one of your children for violating your standard than just telling them they are wrong.

Does that mean you hate your child, son, whatever?

If you are God's child, and you choose to spit on His Word, or for that matter, spit in His face as the Roman soldiers did, and he responded as you have described, how much of you would be left to patch up and how many bandages would be needed, hummm?

The whole Bible is about common sense.

Yes, common sense says a virgin had a child.

Yes, common sense says some book written thousands of years ago is applicable.

Yes, common sense says worshipping any god other than a particular god is evil.

Yes, common sense says a man walked on water.

Yes, common sense says a man died and rose again three days later.

Yes, common sense says a man took two of every species of animal on the Earth on a boat during a flood that covered the Earth.

Yes, common sense says the Earth was created in seven days (six, even).

Yes, common sense says lust is wrong.

Yes, common sense says women were created from a man's rib.

Yes, common sense says a POO God is able to exist in a universe where there is free will.

You are correct, when you read the Bible literally it makes little sence.
If you do not read it literally you will dither out a message that does make sence without killing God and maintaining free will. Please do not rejet the Bible because others of lesser talent read it literally and **** things up for those of better talent.

@DesertDave,
Okay, so, because God happens to know what choices you will make, that prevents you from making them?

Why should I read it without taking it literally?

It's shitty. There's no real theme.

It means that the choices you will make have been determined beforehand.

If someone knows I'm going to fall in the next five minutes, I'm going to invariably do so.

I can't stop that.

@DesertDave,
No it means God can analitically predict the causes and conditions that will invariably lead to a conclusion, the fact that he is always right doesn't mean that he "sees the future", it means that he is really, really smart.

No, it means he sees the future.

Not only that, but if the state of conditions determines the state of the future there is no free will.

Look up the definition of "determinism".

Very good question. If anal sex is abnormal so is oral sex and both should be condemned because your mouth certianly isn't where sperm should be going and while we are at it we should condemn masterbation and toys. Sticking dildos in you and other stuff is abnormal too by these peoples defintions so we have to get rid of all these things too.

God Christians are dull sexually.

@DesertDave,
I want everyone to realize how abnormal it is that we stick our penises in our underwear.

Why do we do that? That's not where our penis goes.
