Pinochet73;44502 wrote:
"What part about america was morality?"

Just as much as that which was about SPAIN.

Spain is guilty as well, but i wouldn't consider spain a standard for morality

"The massacre of the indians?"

The Spanish killed more Indians,

It matter not who killed more, it is still immoral to kill indians!

"The stealing of land from the mexicans?"

The Spanish stole it from the Indians. We just stole it from thieves. So what?

Stealing acompanied with the killing of mexicans also not a moral act!

"The enslavement of blacks?"

After they murdered the Indians in the Caribbean, the Spanish replaced them with huge numbers of Black slaves. The US declined buying Cuba for 110 million dollars from Spain before the Civil War because it was a BLACK AFRICAN SLAVE NATION,

...and yet America continued slavery for another 400 years, also not a moral act!

Unless you are 100% Indian, which you're probably not, YOU ARE GUILTY OF THE SAME THING. Ha.

Just as i don't take credit for what my ancestors did, i will not take the blame for what they did either. The actions of my ancestors are beyond my control!

"The oppression of women?"

There is almost nothing more oppressive to women than Latin machismo.

What about women's right to vote? Own property? etc.....

Ha. You strike me as someone who doesn't read much. I've forgotten more about your people than you ever knew, Junior. Hell, I bet my Spanish is even better than yours.:beat:

Actually im a big history buff, i am quite knowledgable in the area of American and european history!

My replies are bolded!

Do not confuse being totally innocent with being moral, one doesn't require the other, i'll leave it to you to figure out which one! Very Happy

@scooby-doo cv,
(insert sarcastic tone here)
We all need to be a certain way. We'll never be able to achieve that certain way, but we NEED to be it. :wtf:

@klyph,
Basicly what happened was as follows:

> Pino claims that America's problems will be fixed if we become moral again

> I said that won't happen because morallity is subjective

> Pino said America Was Morallity

> Then I asked him what about america was moral slavery, genocie, oppresion of women etc...

> Then he said that spain did those same things but worse

> I replied by saying Spain isn't a standard for morallity, and that doesn't justify our immoral actions

> Pino Said that only jesus was innocent

> I answered: Do not confuse morality with innocence, a person doesn't have to be innocent to be moral

> Pino accuses me of claiming i am innocent

> To which i reply that i was talking about morality not innocence....

Does anyone notice how Pino was having trouble following the argument?

i rather enjoy making Pino look like a fool, like when he tried to convince me that Mexico wasn't part of central America...

But when you two go back and forth it ruins threads Sad

Best to ignore things that go off topic.

It isn't. Technically, it's part of the North American continent. Man, that's 9th Grade World Geography. You did graduate from high school, didn't you? Given the sorry state of your writing and logic, I can't be sure. Maybe you should put me on 'ignore'. I need the rest. As I said, I believe in remediation, but you're pushing the limit.

I hate to tell you this, Klyph, but you're on permanent, world-wide 'ignore' up there at the North Pole. Be careful. I'm probably one of the only forms of human contact you have on a daily basis.:padlock2::alcoholic::alcoholic::padlock2:

North America = Continent

Central America = Region

a region can occupy a continet!

@Fatal Freedoms,
Definition of Central America:

"Central America is a narrow isthmus of southern North America extending from the Isthmus of Tehuantepec in Mexico southeastward to the Isthmus of Panama"

--------
according to this, some of mexico is part of central America and all of mexico is part of north America so i was correct in saying mexico is part of both!

Do you see how far off topic you both have brought this?

Swearing on TV to geography?
