First, did anyone besides me watch it? Any thoughts on immigration, earmarks, Iraq, etc.?

For me, I was thrilled with the fact that he is not rolling over for the democrats in his final year in office.

@socalgolfguy,
for the most part, i felt it was a lame speech.

i did like on cnn, they kept filming people in the auidence yawning, chatting with their neighbor, or staring off into space.

CNN..? You mean the Clinton News Network..?
Not surprising they would do whatever they could to undermine the speech.

I was surprised at the number of times the Dems stood and applauded, even that socialist Pelosi felt compelled to rise a time or two.

@socalgolfguy,
i don't think it was intentional... they just happened to focus on random figures while bush was rambling on, and the audience was just disinterested.

@socalgolfguy,
Scoob - that's why you weren't invited. I'd have hated to see you shot to death on the senate floor by the republican guard.

@socalgolfguy,
Fun Pointless Fact: did You know that the President Is not required to Annually Lecture a STATE OF THE UNION? In fact Jefferson shut down the annual event, and submitted his State Of The Union Beliefs by letter.... Woodrow Wilson reinstates the once a yar NORM, because by his own admission... He likes to Lecture.

@socalgolfguy,
Because of the 9/11 attacks, there was no SOTU speech in '01.

Typical media disrepect for the oval office. I'm surprised they didn't show Hillary scratching her ass or Teddy Kennedy picking his nose.

Another Pointless Fact: did you know that When the SAA announces the President MR SPEAKER THE POTUS" Everyone stands up and cheers, because it is not in recognition of the man, but of the office.
