And, I follow no man blindly. I just do not care for the democrat position of defeat at any cost.

If you think the problems with healthcare will be solved by Hillary then once again you prove your gullibility. These issues have been at hand for decades and will take more than a aggressive one woman approach to fix.

I'll say...we agree on more...and I couldn't be more surprised.
You're wrong in your assessment of the Democratic position (of defeat at any cost)....do you, in your right mind, think that any American, Democrat, Republican, or Independent, wants America to be defeated, on any level????
If not, then stop saying that. We're all Americans, and want the best for America, our friends and family...so, stop it already.
Democrats did not initiate this war, although they de facto condoned it, by giving the president the authorization to conduct it...noble, the right thing to do...except they were "lied" to...which means, the bets are off...there would not have been any authorization, had they known what they know now...
So, don't fault them for doing what they thought was the right thing to do...fault the administration for wanting this war so bad, that they would lie to their own people and fudge data, to support their bid.
Now look at the mess...and we're "surging"...and getting where?
The Iraqi Government has only fulfilled 3 of the 18 set benchmarks? Where is the justification for continuing this madness? 3 of 18????????? 1/6
Now, if had been 10 of 18, we could talk about it....But, unfortunately, it's not. So, all the more reason for ending the war (in Iraq)...and drawing down our troops, "intelligently", and "re-deploying" (not "cutting and running", as the Republicans and their spin machines would have you believe that that's what the Democrats want)
Fareed Zakaria, of Newsweek, and ABC News analyst, spoke on the ABC Evening News, yesterday, and essentially said, that the mess is "ours", we made matters worse, and we have a responsibility to leave Iraq, better than we found it, if at all possible...which means we'll be presence there for years to come...make no mistake.
So all this right wing madness talk about "cutting and running" is nonsense...and it needs to stop...because it is a lie. It's a Republican bumper sticker, nothing more.

And on the other front, if you think I am so naive as to believe Hillary Clinton is the saviour of America, you've been drinking far too much kool aid, because that is not what I believe...I'm am more inclined to support Edwards, because I like his populist rhetoric, to be honest...but I will support Hillary Clinton, if she winds up the nominee, and I will encourage family and friends to support her, as well, over any Republican candidate.
Healthcare will be solved only with bi-partisan cooperation, and the removing of the healthcare lobbies of HMO's, drug companies, and greedy doctors and corporate lawyers. The president, whomever that may be, can do nothing without the support of Congress and the consideration of the American people.

I don't think you know the main issues undergirding healthcare. It's massively expensive when done on the cutting edge, where it's done today in the US. Third-rate healthcare, the kind found in Canada and Europe, is cheaper, and the kind I think you're imagining. If you want the very best, fast, keep it privatized. If you want junk, nationalize it. Here's just one of many, many imponderables on the subject: why would anyone drag his/her buns through medical school to work for government wages? We can't afford the best, for everyone, on time, with tax-funding alone. We're just not that rich.

How about using some of the medical professional that were trained by the military?

How about giving a **** about humanity and take care of your fellow man?

NAH! The likes of YOU would NEVER think about anything so compassionate.

Uh, was I talking to you? Then why are you responding?
As a healthcare worker, for 15+ years, I, better than most here, have a particular insight into the industry. I know, first hand, how hospitals work...I know DRG coding...I know how that works. I know what is reasonable and customary. Do you????? So, since you don't, you needn't offer up any emotional displays for your ill-conceived POV...it's a question of priorities.
Does the government care enough for its' citizenry, to insure that everyone can expect some modicum of healthcare, or should that expectation, nee' , right, be extended to all, regardless of ability to pay...Doctors, lawyers, hospitals , and HMO's ought not be getting rich off of the ailments and care of people......"rich", mind you...not comfortable, not reasonable...."rich".
Have you been to a doctor's office recently...do you know initial visit fees have gone up, in some cases, 150%. That is obscene, by any standards...
Why are doctors in bed with drug companies....why are drug companies in bed with legislators? I was born at night...but not last night. Get out of my face.

@Skye cv,
I will concede A does have a valid point regarding drug companies. They invest millions to get a drug to market but their patents last far to long and this hurts those who need generic drugs to survive. They are greedy and they have no interest in finding cures just medicating the public and masking symtoms. Our governments regardless of the Party seems to be in bed with OPEC and the Drug Companies these days.

We need to make them grow a conscience, somehow someway they need to be held accountable and at the moment they aren't.

This is really uncomfortable...right wingers agreeing with me. Rod Serling can't be too far behind.

Nope. That's not enough of an incentive. It takes approximately 12 years of higher education to become a doctor in the US. Who would endure that to only be able to work for the Government, afterward?

I received this in the past week and kept it to share - interesting comparisons given here

Look at the earnings from Michael Moore's 'documentaries' and his comments about his audience to understand his motivations. In his films,
Moore condemns the automotive, energy, healthcare, and other industries, claiming their intense greed compromises their ethics.

In contrast to the small to negative profit margins of the targets of his critiques, Moore the 'philanthropist' on the other hand, enjoys a 94% margin from his films, earning $292 million:

Roger and Me - $8 million
Bowling for Columbine $54 million
Fahrenheit 9-11 $216 million
Sicko $14 million (to date on $216 million in ticket sales)
Source: Box Office Mojo

And while portraying himself as a modern day savior for the downtrodden, Moore characterizes the audiences who enriched him as 'possibly the dumbest people on the planet', glibly noting that 'there is a gullible side to the American people. They can be easily misled.' He used these audience traits to captialize on tendering misinformation.

Contrasting Moore's personal windfall from Sicko are laudable efforts for people to take note of such as those of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation which funds a multitude of world health projects, including a recent $42 million grant to develop a malaria cure cheap enough to be given away to all the poor nations in the world.

Which will most benefit the heal of the population of our world?

A profiteer selling inflammatory half-truths or quietly funding decisive action?

Another self-enriching movie or development of a cure for the 300 - 500 million people who will be newly infected with malaria just this year?

I think even the least of those who are 'easily led in ignorance' can comprehend the difference.

Well put. He talks the talk and in his world (HOLLYWOOD) his fat ugly body and mind are accepted. Like the rest of the flaks he travels with. I thank you for your post.
Expose the fools, fakes, flakes and the useless I say!
As you can see some will expose themselves. Great post.

I too loathe M. Moore and want to see him transformed into a rug in front of a fireplace somewhere. NONETHELESS....why do you constantly mention 'exposure'? Just curious.
