Preservation to some is restriction to others. You have no problem instituting your agenda, even though you know it would restrict others, this to me is conflicting with your stance on exchanging freedom for security. IMO

You only get punished if you get caught. The laws worked in my favor not the law abiding citizens.

You want to enact laws to what you consider freedom to be. Those laws will restrict others definition of freedom. In other words you seek to restrict others to your form of Freedom.
