FOXNews.com - After All-Night Debate, Senate Rejects Measure to Bring Troops Home From Iraq - Politics | Republican Party | Democratic Party | Political Spectrum

In breaking news this bill failed to pass it's vote

The interesting thing here is that their wasn't supposed to be a re-evaluation of the Iraq situation until September. Now the Dems want to talk about it early, but why?

one thought is because the surge is in fact finding great success, leaders on the ground say that it's working and military insiders claim that General Petraeus will deliver a positive report in September

when looking for proof that the surge is working one could easily point to the fact that the Leader of Al Qaeda in Iraq was just nabbed by authorities

@Silverchild79,
Unless we actually move to strike terrorist supporters and networks where they are, we are only sticking our fingers in the dam. Pakistan, Saudi, Syria, Lebanon, all prime meat on the terrorist hit list, but we won't move against them, even if we know they are ******* it up.

@Silverchild79,
no your right but it's a catch 22

we should as good strategy take out the terror camps and resources being used for Iraq that are in Iran. But a week later Iran will lead an invasion into Iraq.

The fact reamins that the surge is working and the Dems are scared the nation will find out about it.

It "working" isn't simply rounding up some members of AQ, and all of a sudden calling victory. We raped Fallujah, with in a few months it was under insurgent control again, we went back, and same thing happened. Both were called successful missions. We can win all the battles we choose, problem is, till we choose the right battles we will not win the war.

@Silverchild79,
The ENTIRE Senate can kiss my Christian nationalist, usually camouflaged, buttocks.
