the film is about 'the children of marx and coca cola'. the female lead was a pop star both in the film and in real life.

Masculin-FĂ©minin, the director was Jean-Luc Goddard and the pop star was Chantal Goya. (the last clue was what give it to me).

I was glued to the Cannes Film Festival and was headed up the list of Lenaud films and that was my next choice. BTW, "Farenheit 9/11" just won the Palm D'Or.
