"Rocky?" That's funny, gus -- are you looking at the right pic or just taking a wild stab? Laughing

My first thought was Gene Kelly, too, but I'll bet it's Errol Flynn -- although I don't remember him in any movie with a white wig. Looks like Olivia DeHavilland with him. But, I'll not guess. I'll wait until I catch on to posting stills. I was doing OK with Tiny Url and then--- poof -- no more. Sad

You should have taken a stab at it. If you guessed right, you can always pass it on if you've not mastered photobucket.com yet.

Need one more guess for a clue.

Not "The Scarlett Pimpernel."

The movie's director was better known for a movie about being born again.

The Great Garrick?

(I was wrong about Flynn (that's Brian Ahearn) and Olivia DeHavilland. James Whale, director.)

And if I'm right, I'll pass my question. Thank you.

You are correct. Your only problem with photobucket.com was the .bmp download. When you download an image make sure the "Save as" is .jpeg or .gif and you'll have no problem (there's a small menu window at the bottom of the "Save as" box that give you a choice of format.

Not Anna Karenina.

And, not really a good picture, LW. inasmuch as the girl pictured was a bit player (don't even know her name). I used the first picture I saw, but it really doesn't say a lot.

Yes! Captain Blood is correct. That's Basil Rathbone with a tavern girl.

I was first torn between John Barrymore or Basil Rathbone. The image looks like it was a musical but then I guessed it was laughing and I kind of remembered the tavern scene.
