I meant to ask what anyone does make of the first still even if it is blurry?
(Obviously it's giving away that it as an old film).
the first photo i thought maybe gone with the wind, the burning buildings, I am stumped and i don't peek.
The important clue in the first shot is the name of the store that's in the explosion.
Sanderson's isn't ringing any bells for me.
Looks like an explosion - and that's a Santa decoration on the right...
Is that Jimmy Stewart in the foreground in the second picture?
That sure looks like Jimmy Stewart
Wild guess here.
Shopworn Angel. Stewart is killed during WWI. That could be Walter Pigeon with him.
No, not "Shopworn Angel."
Correct, mac, it's "Sanderson's" and that's an artificial Santa on the right. But it's not Jimmy Stewart. There's an important clue in that pix also.
Hell, I also thought that was Jimmy Stewart.
The fact the little girl is wearing a gas mask leads me to believe that since this movie looks like it was filmed in the late thirties/early forties that it might be a futuristic movie about war.
I don't recall if that was a little girl or a woman bent down on her knees but go for it!
No, the shots are black-and-white, not b&w of a color film. I guess until they come up with a restoration of the film, they will be rather blurry.
Well this seems to be an oldie disaster/futuristic film, but I have no clue what the title of it might be...
max, you have the discerning eye! Right!
Had some help from my son!....Ooops. Now I have to quickly figure out how to get a picture here...
