@Doly,
I don't know if her role in the Bush administration would hurt her chance of winning or not. It doesn't really matter though because she says she's going back to the "world of ideals" (meaning academia) when Bush's term is over. She has no intention of staying in politics. Sure would be nice to have as many options as she seems to have. Obviously, she is a very talented lady.

I heard on the news tonight that she and Bill are not just asking for money, they are trying to somehow stop contributions going to other candidates. Very hardcore fundraising tactics as the news called it.

@Doly,
I liked Bill Clinton and thought he did a good job as President while he was in office. I think the Republicans made way too much out of the Monica Lewinsky matter. The Republicans started a character assassination against him before he even took office and it continued for the full eight years he served as President. I admire his fortitude and perserverance.

He handled the war in Bosnia fairly well, he balanced the budget, he almost brokered a peace treaty between Israel and Arafat and he should be given credit for keeping diplomatic channels open with people that were less than desirable to deal with. You don't see Bush doing that. He just shuts the door and says "when you see things my way, give me a call". I have never seen a more arrogant and stubborn man in my life than George, Jr.

I wonder at times what the Republicans would be saying and doing right now if it was Bill Clinton that had gotten us involved in the war in Iraq with lies and manipulations like Bush did. Clinton got impeached for lying about a sexual dalliance. Bush lied about reasons for starting a war and no one holds him accountable. Why aren't we impeaching him? The Republicans never cease to amaze me. It's always "do as I say, not as I do" with them.

@Doly,
naw, once a cheat, always a cheat...and this was a show of true character, he showed a lack of control, and you cannot lead without having control. It showed that he was a puppet president because he lacked self-control and moral integrity, this is vital for any leader.
You don't see Bushie waver or be disgusting to women.

Kinda like the same thing the dems are doing now as we speak. Why don't you admire Bush's fortitude and perserverance? Had Sklinton taken Osama when he had him on numerous occasion's we probably would be involved in Afgan or Iraq.

One statement is provable, the other is speculation.

Because they have to have some proof.

I hope i keep up your amazement. My uncle always said, if you want to know what your enemy is up to, watch what they accuse you of.

@Doly,
I'll say this about Republicans - they take no personal responsibility for anything they do, they blame all their problems on other people, they are the biggest bunch of sore losers and cry babies I have ever seen. I have said several times on this forum what little respect I have for Bush, I should have said what little respect I have for Bush and anyone who supports him.

And to answer your question, no I don't respect a man who runs around on his wife, but I disrespect a man more for lying to start a war. Clinton admitted he lied. Do you think Bush will ever admit he lied? Or apologize to the American people. Hahahahahahaha.

Now tell me who has more character.

@Doly,
Like i said, i can prove Clinton lied, you on the other hand cannot prove Bush lied. Clinton only admitted he lied because there was proof. For being personally responcible you sure blame alot on others? If you have no respect for me i guess you should deserve the same?

So your ok with his lieing?

Maybe he'll be like clinton and wait till you have proof. So did Bill, hillary and all the others that went on air saying saddam had weapons before Bush was in office, did they lie? Seems you have a double standard.

Bush by far, you haven't proved he lied in the first place.

@Doly,
Saying i'm in denial is alot better then answering a few questions i guess. In any case all you have to do is prove me wrong and my ride down the river of denial will be over. My guess is i'll be sailing for a while.

@Doly,
Well, l don't want to interrupt your sail now, Dra, so l will add to the experience by letting Dolly in on why Bush is needed for a positve outcome in the middle -east, regardless of how that positive outcome is defined.

In history the most revered leaders where those who were sharply criticized in their time. Look at Lincoln, he was hated by a LOT of people. Even all those politicans who signed the confederation as they had slaves tolling in the fields. In fact if you look at every powerful world leader that experienced war, their is not one who has been sharply criticized and even hated.

I have this book entitled "the 48 laws of power" by Robert Greene and it is an amazing read, outlining the traits of Power. And Bush is a very powerful president, and he will be revered and qouted in the future.

The war in IRAQ began with a knowledge of WMD, and while they didn't find them right away, it uncovered a loaded gun. Only now is the evidence surfacing of the extent to which these Middle-Eastern Islamic Based Countries are involved in the deep underground treachery that if it had been left alone, who in fact have built into a more powerful source of destruction and evil than we could have imagined.

It is fine and dandy to blame one man on this evil scourge, but the truth is and will always be that the elements of hatred and destruction are finally comming to the surface, and it does not matter which president was in office, the evil scourge found defined in Fatwas had to be dealt with, and negotiation with this murderous intent was not a possibility.

Now we have learnt of the China and Russia being involved, and the underlying pipeline of venomous intent and financing from IRAN. This is the loaded gun, and l can't see the OUT OF CONTROL -ness of either Clinton handling it with any competence, since they waver to whoever they can mainpulate to gather a vote.

@Doly,
I don't think she'll win. More people loathe her than love her. I don't like her at all. I mean, you were pretty stupid if you didn't see it coming, with her staying married to Bill after the whole scandal. Obviously for political reasons.
