At least we are hearing comments from the military without information being filtered by the Whitehouse.

I know. A recently-former marine that I know said last night "we really can't
just pull out, and I don't think we really will just yet, but the difference is
that the American people will be in on the discussion and the decision this
time, and that will make it easier for the country to unify behind what has
to happen, even if it is 20 years of hardship. Deciding the right thing to do is
different from being made to do something, especially when it requires a
sacrifice."

You must be talking about the retired generals who waited till retirement to talk? General Zinni is not a general any more. He is no longer military. John Batiste in retired as well. If they had a little more spine maybe they should of said something before they assured themselves of there pensions? What conviction to there troops?
