Well, what do you think of the U.N.?

Is it a good organization, good cause, and it is doing well...

or it has a good cause, but it is not doing it's job well, the US should stay in the UN, and the UN should be fixed.

or.. It started of with a bad cause/ or it is founded on a wrong premise, it should not be the UN's job to do what it is currently doing.

or other ...

I wanted to make this a poll, but it said you have to create the poll within 5 minutes of making the post. Is there any way I can turn this into a poll?

I agree, the United Nations had gone bad as of recent times.

What we should do is create a global federal nation with a limited government, in which gives most power to it's states.

What I mean by that, is that you have global centralized nation with federal properties. But the global state does not have control over changing every state to it's well being. Yet rather it has the power to create laws in which grant better protection than what the states can provide.

@LukeN,
Sounds like you want a world court? We don't adhere to that now or in our near future, IMO.

@LukeN,
I think the UN is going the way of the old League of Nations , destined to fail if it continues as is .
Any entity that places known human rights abusers on the Human Rights Commission is misguided .

@LukeN,
If I followed this document correctly, the US pays around 76% of the UN bill.
United Nations Financial Crisis
We currently apparently own the UN a little over $1 billion, due to the US playing a little hardball with the UN budget and trying to get them to see our way, haha.
