Good luck in getting any businesses to have anything to do with us.

That scenario is impossible in the world climate , especially since BP (Shell/BP , BP/Amoco ) is owned by shareholders from all over the world , and restrictions such as you suggest are socialistic in nature and against the nature of even the global market .
Besides , you would be trampling on the rights of everyone involved in order to implement your suggestions .
