@FedUpAmerican,
Wow some list. How does the GOP even find any candidates to run for any office. Or do they just seek the sick one's and hope?

That's the answer most Christians would give. What did you expect?

So, a follower of Jesus Christ is an 'egotistical moron' for admitting he relates most strongly to Jesus, in terms of human history? In that case, I'm proud to call myself one such moron.

First of all, I don't know "you", other than from your postings on this board.
I, myself, am a "follower of Christ", having been brought up Episcopalian, and attending a boys school, The Anglican Choir School for boys, for 3 yrs, where we sang "mass", 5-6 days out of 7.
I know 'of" George Bush...and I can "safely" say, based on his history, and his actions, he is no follower of Christ...if we can truly know Christians "based on their actions".

If he says he follows Christ, that's his business. Whether his convictions are genuine or not is between him and God.

Well, you can't have it both ways...Campbell has been running around the board, claiming you can tell a "real Christian" by their actions....so which is it?
People say a lot....whatever is expedient....he doesn't "act" like a Christian, so why would I believe that he is, just because he says it?
Bottom line is, I don't like him, and I don't have to, and I don't have to have a good reason. So there!

Religion is a personal choice. I don't have time to judge the quality of other people's commitment. I have enough major encounters with brute force and ignorance to worry about.

Precisely...but there are those, who not only subscribe to a particular religion, whether or not they adhere to the precepts and doctrine of said religion, that go around castigating and criticizing others based on whatever precepts are germane to their religion...and that is wrong. If I don't believe as you do, or I don't believe what you believe, then how can you tell me that I'm wrong, in believing what I believe...either this is a free society and we all have worth and freedom, or we don't.
