Liberals are gripped by the fear that someone somewhere is doing for themselves. Liberalism does not promote self sufficiency, rather it promotes redistributing wealth in the interest of "fairness". Liberalism at it's very core is Socialism, where the State becomes the giver of freedom and takes credit for prosperity. Liberalism believes that things like a home, food and health care are "Rights" and it is the government's duty to provide these things. The problem with this is the Government doesn't do ANYTHING well or efficiently, this cannot be disputed, yet Liberals believe that Government is the "Answer" when it's actually the problem. People being homeless, without food and lacking medical insurance are all sad things, but the fact is they are in those situations due to poor choices. Please refer to my post called, "Why being poor has nothing to do with your wallet".

@Curmudgeon,
A very good post, Aaron! Point-counter point. We need more of that rather than the pissing matches. I commend you for having the wherewithal to make that post.

Pino- I never disliked YOU , maybe some of your approach to dialogue at times.

Really? And you felt you had to announce that? Am I supposed to feel sad or glad? LOL

@Curmudgeon,
Who you ignore has little to do with the way your posts come across. The over-the-top presentation makes readers miss any points you may make in a level headed discussion.

And conservatives are gripped by the fear that someone that is not exactly like them may be doing something they don't agree with. Personally "liberals" and "conservatives" are the same thing, just from different sides.
