Fight, fight for the trilobite!
Cyril, Cyril, the tree squirrel!
How catty and bratty, the coati!
But I like a lot the ocelot.

heh!

The Persian Blue turban wearing cat
Saw the Siamese sealpoint and his brother having a spat
So he separated them with a tortoiseshell
And the Turkish Van Cat drove them all to Hell.

I never saw a Tree Bat
But saw a beaver at the zoo chasing cat
I want that mink to halt
So I can have that muskrat caught

lamb
lapdog
llama
lynx
The lamb was frolicking across the grass
When the lapdog came and tried to pass.
The llama barged his way past the pooch,
And the lynx slunk by with a moody mooch.

tapir
spiny anteater

Pip and Estella were named for the Pipistrelle bat
I bet you laughed like a hyena at that
The tapir read that fact in Great Expectations
As the spiney anteater found out while taking vacations.

A cross fox is a trial to us all
A Cuvier beaked whale can't balance a ball.
See the flying squirrel - there he goes!
And a harp seal has the cutest eyes and nose.

I've never met a bushbaby that could lead
But I've seen evidence of a millipede.
A dung beetle can cause quite a scene
With a chocolate labrador with too many beans.

pack rat
parrot
reindeer
yak

"Fight hard, you pack rats!"
The parrot screams, and scares the cats.
Reindeer graze on moss serenely
And the yak is hairy, large, and queenly.

The giraffe, with heads held very high
Can spot the antelope as they walk by
The lizard, basking on a rock
Ignores the frogs, while they sit and croak

A skate or ray is very flat,
So is a sole if it comes to that.
Turbot well dressed is a tasty fish
Baked halibut is a lordly dish.

Higglety pigglety, my black hen
We'll tapir for a loan, and then
Lemur loose, to the shops away
While the Willow Warbler trills a roundelay

Under the shrubs snuffs the ultimate vole
As quick as a rat, as soft as a mole;
In the next garden a mole, like a rat,
Gazes at a little horseshoe bat.

"Sheep tup, lamb wether"
Said the old farmhand dressed in leather
"Sheep wether, tup lamb"
Responded the jolly landgirl, Pam.

A sheep lies in the deepest dell
With only a tup 'n' a halfpenny bell.
Its tiny lamb's weathering out the snow
With a wether, whether it's safe or no.

Gilt, a pig, a female pig,
Weaner, it's not an Austrian bun,
Hogget, in the dictionary you have to dig,
Bird O P, the colours never run....

A Clydesdale's wide to be astride,
A Shetland's tiny, it can't be denied.
I've always wanted a palomino
But a mule is stubborn and mucho mean-o!

The early bird gets the worm, they say
And the great tit's never very far away
Up with the earthworm, leatherjacket, splat
As a passing cow tramps the whole lot flat

Sticking like leeches to passing legs,
The naughty newts laid a lot of eggs.
A tadpole swam fast hoping it was a winner
But a coot snapped him up for an early dinner.

Springbok: an antelope with pleasing gait
An eland's bigger, and more sedate
A dromedary's fine in arid parts
And he's usually got a tick stuck to his arts
