How can this even be possible. This just shows how flawed the U.N. is. How can they even go up for a vote let alone actually almost get enough votes?

@Brent cv,
I find it insulting that a threat to internacional stability such as Hugo Chavez would have the audaucity to make a play like that. And he still recieve a substancial amout of support, thats why the UN doesn't work, it isn't imparcial. It is a machine manipulated by many nations, I wonder whem they will finally realise that and shut it down(at least its political game).

@markx15,
Are you suprised? South America always has been governed by corruption...
That's why US had many interlligence watchignthese countries closely:cool:

He is using the world unpopular reaction against US foreign policies to get noticed as political member, otherwise nobody in the world would kno who the hell is he???

This course of action should just remind everyone in the western world how many enemy US has got? We need to stay together to fight the ignorance of other countries; which do not have the same resources and intellectual skills to become powerful as America is!!!!:headbang:

The ONU should have done the work America deemed necessary for years to protect the western countries, especially after World War II....So i a agree that UN are a waste of space and a bunch of cowards not having a clue how to get the job done...... :wtf:

We need to fight anti-americanism, which stands against democracy, freedom and justice for all......

I believe the United States of America as a governament of the people, by the people, for the people.....established upon those principle of freedom, equality justice and humanity! William Tyler Page
