Mark Foley Scandal and Hasert

From what I read he knew only about the Emails, which were described as, "Overly Friendly".
It was the IM's which were the problem and he did not have prior knowledge of those. Apparently several news agencies did not think the emails were newsworthy either, passing on them when they were presented. Whats interesting to me is that it has come to light that Nancy Pelosi may have had prior knowledge and sat on it till it could do the most damage. I dont know if I can piece this together very well, Im trying to learn about the political game here so Im still wet behind the ears. Please bear with me.

Its been said Mr Booty Boy Edmund might have been in on a prank with other pages to get Foley to write some dirty stuff. Was it a private prank by some teens or were they egged on by someone else a little more important than a page?

Last but NOT least, I am NOT defending Foleys actions AT ALL. He needs to have his butt kicked hard (but ya might lose your foot up there)

There is talk that these IM's, which are THE REAL PROBLEM were messed with and are NOT the original ones. Somebody may have made them up or made them sound a bit worse than they were, BUT Foley was obviously guilty or he wouldnt have resigned.

According to two people close to former congressional page Jordan Edmund, the now famous lurid AOL Instant Message exchanges that led to the resignation of Mark Foley were part of an online prank that by mistake got into the hands of enemy political operatives, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.

According to one Oklahoma source who knows the former page very well, Edmund, a conservative Republican, goaded an unwitting Foley to type embarrassing comments that were then shared with a small group of young Hill politicos. The prank went awry when the saved IM sessions got into the hands of political operatives favorable to Democrats.

The primary source, an ally of Edmund, adamantly proclaims that the former page is not a homosexual. The prank scenario was confirmed by a second associate of Edmund. Both are fearful that their political careers will be affected if they are publicly brought into the investigation.

The prank scenario only applies to the Edmund IM sessions and does not necessarily apply to any other exchanges between the former congressman and others.

The news come on the heels that Edmund has hired former Timothy McVeigh attorney, Stephen Jones.

Correct, thats what got me so interested in the first place. Nancy Pelosi's buddy Robin Katsaros (or Kasaros as its spelled at times) was supposedly writing a book about the pages and had lots of info from former pages and from a few of Foleys pages. It all makes me think that Robin used this 'book" thing to find a bit more info for her buddy Pelosi.

Jordan Edmund's (Foleys IM boy toy) lawyer is not denying nor admitting to a prank by pages. Its seems to me more of a plot by Robin Katsaros and Pelosi to out Foley and do damage to repubs.

A radical activist on a mission to "out" conservative homosexual lawmakers and Capitol Hill staffers held on to information about Rep. Mark Foley's relationships with underage male pages, suggesting the story would break at the time of mid-term elections.

Blogger Jim Hoft of Gateway Pundit points to a campaign by activist Mike Rogers who had Foley on a "target list" of 20 people and shared the information with the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

Foley abruptly resigned Friday as reports surfaced of inappropriate e-mails with a male page. Later, ABC News released online instant messages of more salacious exchanges. Foley has issued a statement saying he checked himself into an alcohol rehabilitation program at an undisclosed location.

In July 2004, the homosexual newspaper Washington Blade reported Rogers helped lead an "ongoing outing campaign on the Hill" ahead of the Senate vote on the Federal Marriage Amendment, which would bar same-sex marriage.

Among nearly 20 names on the "target list" provided to the Blade were Foley and Democratic Sen. Barbara Mikulski of Maryland.

The paper said a spokesman for Foley declined to comment after another homosexual activist, John Aravosis, asserted on his website the previous week that Foley is "gay."

"Both members of Congress have long been the subject of rumors about their sexual orientation," the paper said.

I got a question for you. If he'd been a democrat, would he of resigned? I dought that being as they admit they do not follow the same "moral" high ground as most republicans.

If Foley is innocent why did he run for rehab before explaining his actions? I get the impression you don't see anything wrong with his actions.

Being gay isn't the problem with what he did.It would have been just as inappropriate if the victim was female.

I think he had a few press conferences and also addressed Congress before he admitted himself to a rehab. I didn't say what he did wasn't wrong, he can only be prosecuted for what he did illegally, nothing much can be done for what he did immorally no matter who's opinion they are following.
