Naw, eBeth is cuddlitier . . .
Well, the hair looks very Bethie to me. Cuddlier? I'm sure!
yeah, a few miles can make the heart ache with fondness Boss
ahh..so cute..I thought it looked like Beth
I think that I agree with you Joanne
about wishing is often more fun than
getting. Before I became so ill and
go out on SS disability, I would spend
months planning each of my vacations.
Since I had worked for the same company
for so long, I had 3 weeks vacation time.
If I combined that with the fact that I
was on an alternating work one weekend
then off for 2 weekends - I could have
the weekend before, and the 5 days, and
the following weekend off - all in all a
total of 9 days for every vacation. I have
never had a vacation where I remained
at home. I yearned for travel constantly.
Still do. Hoping some unknown relative
drops me a couple hundred thousand
bucks, so I could start on working my
way through Europe.
Christmas ... I was thinking that
I would love some gorgeous fake
pointsettas - really good ones, that
you can hardly tell. Every time I go
and buy them, they often are dead
shortly after Christmas. ONE TIME
out of all these years, I got one to
grow into quite a large shrub on the
southern side of the house. Then we
had a real hard freeze & that was that.
hmmmm
truthfully?
a way to have everybody in the right place at the right time, without having to travel through snow or miles and miles of traffic
I hate holiday traffic.
I wanna see everybody but i don't want to travel, and i don't want anybody else have to either (it makes me nervous).
und ein Gutes Neues Jahr!
Babs for years I lived in San Diego, most of the Poinsettias sold in the US are grown in North County, close to the ocean, in a quaint little town called Encinitas. Dirving through this time of year you can see hundres of fields of pink, red, white, and multi colored poinsettias. It is a sight to behold. Other times of the year the fields are planted with Impatians.

Okay. I can't afford to play this game in the real world... I've had way too many unhappy Christmases because i didnt' get what I thought I was gonna. One thing I might just get that I wasn't ezxpecting is some kind of reconcilliation with my father. He called up Monday and asked if we could come up for the holiday... well gee Dad thatnks for asking (but we've had plans for over a year). But it's all good.
but I'd like a PDA. I'd like a nice antique music stand. I'd like a nice suprise.
But I will settle for (love nad appreciate!) whatever comes my way...even if it kills me![/size]
Hmmm...u mean apart from world peace ??
Okay, till date I have got DVDs, CDs and some perfumes as christmas prezzies - and that is the standard stuff I will keep getting.
Since I dont have a rich boy friend (heck, I dont even have any boy friend) the best present will be given to me by myself - a 36'' Sony Vega widescreen TV - but I will have to wait for the post Christmas sales...
Oooooh, I want one of those Sony Vega's, but wouldn't you rather have an high-definition TV?
Hey, Boss, do they have Boxing Day sales in England? (If they do, don't tell Lovey, she'll change her mind and want to go right over.)
must be some Lovey i don't know
My daughters have been asking me what I wanted for Christmas.
One of them suggested I set up a 'Wish List' on Amazon.com
Which I did. I listed a couple of novels several volumes of poetry and several CD's.
What do I want most? Time with my kids.
One I'll see on Christmas day and one will drive up from NYC the weekend after.
My mother asked me today for my Christmas list...I felt like a kid again, then I had a senior moment...'What do I want for Christmas?'...I have no idea!
Then I gave her a hard time.
Eventually though I gave her some gift certificate suggestions which she usually does really well with
I don't like gift certificates. I want a present to be picked out just for me and I want it to fit and I want to like it... a lot. Am I hard to please???
nah..just hopeful

The only reason I do gift certificates is cuz we're across the country...its easier.
Its always nice when you get something that fits you just right, isnt it?
And, quinn, you save a small fortune on postage, too.
