@Ragman,
No Williams - Williams final. Venus upset in the Quarters. Clisters out as well.

@maporsche,
Yeah really, this topic was started by some nut who can't see real-world pictures and can only see pictures in his own brain. No surprise he posts stuff like this
Quote:
But what I keep hearing over and over again is bias in the commentary.

He admits to hearing voices in his head screaming BIAS. Not a good sign. I don't know the pictures in his brain but the pictures objectively of these 2 players are these 2

Which pic would YOU rather pin on YOUR wall? Spot the BIAS in the Wimbledon announcers' commentary. Spot the BIAS in YOUR choice. Try asking other men. Or even women. If you dare Mr. Green

@electronicmail,
Snoods thread is about subtle bias in sports reporting , not jack-off pin up posters.

@snood,

IT MAKES ME SICK.....It reminded me of when I watched the US Open a couple years back, when it was overrun by a lot of talented Russians. I had to listen to the crowds cheer for the unknown white Russians when they went against the Williams sisters. It angered me. It made me sad....You know what maybe the worst thing about it is? There's a part of me that is not shocked or suprised at all - that expects this.

Um. Not sure how to break the news to you. You're a GUY. The crowd will always cheer for the prettiest GAL. The Lord made guys that way, take it up with Him.

@panzade,
You're the one who brought up jack-off, so ask any woman of any color. Don't limit your audience to guys. Of any color. See who they'd RATHER look at. Ask who they'd RATHER cheer for. Hell, ask the bias expert himself, right here. Post results of your poll on this thread. That's no BIAS, that's HUMAN NATURE.

What about when Arthur Ashe was playing? Would they cheer for his opponent because Arthur was a NEGRO?

I'll own up to wandering off the point but I'm guessing that your point is that people cheer for the prettiest or handsomest sports stars that are the same race as the fan. Am I right?

Note to Panzade

You're making your life harder than it needs to be, why do you have to "guess" what I said when the relevant post is right here on this page? I'm re-posting it in case you missed it. Reading is simpler than guessing:

As I've told you before, there's no need to insult me. It doesn't make you look any more intelligent.

As far as the re post. I can only guess you didn't read snood's premise for the thread because your post has nothing- zero -to do with it.

Point to the insult. With link. You can't do it. And "voices in your head" like Snood's don't count. Pictures in your brain or his don't count EITHER. Get a reality check. What do most other people see? What do most other people hear? If nobody else sees and hears what YOU do, how do you explain that?

I'm not gonna bother with hallucinating freaks any longer, sorry, just get yourself to a medic and take that other freak with you. Detox works for some, and insanity may be temporary. Good luck.

@electronicmail,
When you bold(shout) a message that is patronizing and sarcastic, it insults me and adds nothing to our discussion.

Do I need to add? Insulting

You got a lot of anger buddy. I think you're the one that needs some consultation

@maporsche,
Wanna join me in teaching a seminar for those who want to become race experts? I already have someone interested in attending. Linked him to this thread already http://able2know.org/topic/134632-11#post-4195761

How do I become an expert in race? Sounds like an interesting job.

That's real easy. Say you hear a comment about some female who looks like a butt-ugly gorilla. Immediately inspect her picture. If she's a Bulgarian weightlifter (white) she's really a butt-ugly gorilla. BUT if she's black, then she's an ethereal fairy and YOU are a damn racist. Simple, right? Here's a training exercise http://able2know.org/topic/153736-2#post-4194516

@Cycloptichorn,
Read the sequence of posts here. I NEVER start a fight, NEVER. And how do YOU know how much tennis I play? Or watch? You don't, so you've no idea if it's "in my way" or not.

You had 2 points, I just covered BOTH. Next.

I don't give a **** how much tennis you play... it's immaterial to the point. You may note that several of us disagreed with Snood's original proposition, but we didn't go out of our way to be rude about it. You're going out of your way to be rude about it, to the extent that you are cross-posting stuff in other threads in order to gain more attention to your rudeness. You ought to review your behavior and stop it.

This is too funny for words.

You say you tagged all my threads with "Idiot Tea Bagger", and here you're admitting you don't have a clue about tennis, but you think I'm being rude all the same. Well maybe your wife really is a Bulgarian weightlifter, so please allow me to amend my linked statement to read that she's exempt from the "butt-ugly gorilla" classification. I apologize if I inadvertently appeared to be including her in it.

Not all of them, only the ones where it applies.

Who told you that? I certainly didn't. I know a great deal about tennis.

The rest of your post is more of the same rudeness and there's nothing really worth responding to.

Tennis is still very clubby, and the William sisters are not very well liked because from the start they came to win and did not give a **** about the club. I don't think that it has anything to do with race. The sisters play what they want to play not what is good for the tour, they usually refuse to play Fed Cup, and their careers are loaded with BS like this

Venus and Serena Williams have been fined $4,000 each at Wimbledon for skipping a news conference after their loss in the doubles quarterfinals.

Serena Williams said Thursday she is "shocked to hear" about the penalty, adding she and her sister rarely speak to the media after Grand Slam doubles matches other than finals.

The top-seeded Americans lost to Russians Vera Zvonareva and Elena Vesnina in three sets Wednesday.

Serena Williams will play Zvonareva in the singles final Saturday.

They tend to be Bitches, and they make it clear that it is all about them....winning is not always enough to counter their lousy personalities.
