I 've travelled. On a night when I was shot at, I
FELT perfectly safe
and was not thinking of security considerations.
How one FEELS about safety does not necessarily correspond
with the facts of how safe one actually
IS.
I 'll bet u $1 that your cousin
FELT safe 5 seconds b4
his robbery began.

Criminals usually expect their victims to be unarmed,
especially where
gun control laws exist.

Thay can
MAKE their own guns, if it comes to that.
I read of a group of criminals in prison who built a fully operational submachinegun
one-part-at-a-time in the prison workshop and assembled it in private.
What is the limit of what thay can do with free access to the hardware stores of America ??

There r no robberies in Europe?
Green Witch wrote:I have a cousin who was recently robbed at gun point in Atlanta, GA.
Two guys came up behind him and stuck a gun in ribs just after
he took money out of a cash machine. My cousin did not resist when
they took his wallet, but they smashed him in the back of his head
anyway and he ended up getting 30 stitches.
Yeah; sometimes after the criminals r captured, thay admit that thay
killed the victims because it was
fun, after the victims offered
no resistance.

Really? Did he scan the area for apparent bad guys b4 he used the ATM?
Will he use ATMs the same way in the future, or will he adapt his technique ?
I suspect that thay 'd have been a little less likely to have done that
(robbed him or bashed him)
if thay knew that all of the passers-by were likely to be well-armed.
Green Witch wrote:but when someone is standing behind you with a gun under your ribs it's best not to argue.
I envy the mostly gun free countries like Scotland, it will never happen in America
because of paranoid people like David here.
The Founders were not "paranoid" when thay wrote the Bill of Rights.
I 've said many times: I have been personally armed since the age of 8. Since then, I have upgraded.
My quest is not for myself, but for my fellow citizens. I want to live in a world wherein I am surrounded
by well-armed citizens (openly and covertly), as a matter of course, on a daily basis.
This supports a culture of Individualism, anti-collectivism, anti-communitarianism, and anti-authoritarianism.
Freedom is good. Authoritarianism is bad.
