I have the same right to judge others as anyone else has and that is total...That is what people do... We Judge... What do you think all of your concepts are, but judgements???That is Knowledge, and the better our judgements (concepts) the better our knowledge...And it is inevitable that we turn this look upon the world to an introspection of society, because society is our immediate environment, and if history as a concept is any judge, then societies fail beside their moral tone... When Rome could believe it was bringing a moral order to the Barbarians it conquered, and when all it could show them was moral flab, it failed... If you do not want your society to fail, and you do not want to suffer the pains of immorality which are severe, nor the lonliness of the outlaw, then you must judge, and judge well...
No people is fit for self government who cannot individually govern their own behavior, and it is of such people that democracies are made...No one can make a nation out of spoiled brats...Their Gonads are principals of justification bearing all reason on a silver platter....I would not expect such people to be moral, and I was not moral at that age...But one thing I was doing was thinking about it, and be cause I was always conscious, I was consciously immoral...
So; Moraltiy as a concept is to the young always a result of growth, or decay, and the young can see the oldest are most moral, but the growth escapes them... The fact of the matter is, that it is a little of both, because the mind, as a concept, grows as the body decays, but it is not a sign of illness but of desire for life, ones own, and the life of society which makes their members immortal...For Example...The effects of Rome are everywhere, but the nation, as a concept, of Rome has vanished... It is because their morality was gone when it no longer made sense to them...What did make sense to them was wealth and power, and victory, and slaves...They got fat and lazy watching other people work, Their exercise was the stroll from dinner table to toilet or vomitorium...Why not bowl over such people and take all that is theirs???Immorality is just surrender...It is like saying, sure, I'll go to hell, but I'm going to party first...Life as a concept is all meaning...When viewed inndividually it has zero meaning...Meaning is a certain perspective people can gain or lose... Self is a loss of perspective...
Let me explain it to you...What happened to the rich in Rome is what happened to all of them...They began to think of them selves as individuals, apart from society, and they began to think for themselves...In the process, they lost sight of their organic whole, the Nation, as a concept, They effectivly sterilized themselves for the pleasure of the moment, and at the same time, they were doing the same, to every boy they could get a hold of...The only respect they had for life was for their own, and they had little enough of that...Tell me why any young man shouldn't want to live as a Roman, all stoned to the bone, and filled to the gills??? It is the aftermath, the consequences of immorality the understanding of which, as a concept, that makes a boy into a man...Or a girl into a woman...But women are more naturally moral because consequences are always near at hand... Just, not always...And when every boy and girl just wants to live out their lives and die, it is because they have lost touch with true morality which should give all people hope...
