according to recent studies, humans are producing ozone and pose a threat to the world population(a/t the article ozone causes hardening of the arteries). my question is : does population growth have to be controlled/reduced more aggressively ? hbg ...... see article :

Ozone contributes to hardening of the arteries? That's new to me! I'll check into the link when I get a chance.....
HUMANS PRODUCING OZONE
littltec : the article in the newspaper probably originated from the following link :
www.sciam.com/article.cfm?chanID=sa003&articleID=0003CCAB-DF13-1FAA-9F1383414B7F0000 here is a section from the article in the SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN : "Ozone is perhaps best known for its role in protecting the earth from solar radiation. But scientists recently discovered that the extremely reactive form of oxygen is produced by the human immune system as part of its defense strategy. New findings published in the journal Science suggest that such ozone production could contribute to atherosclerosis, the disease commonly known as hardening of the arteries that increases the risk of heart attacks and strokes." hbg
Interesting. I want to learn more about how it works in our defense. And, is this why anti-oxidants are so good for us?
