i am enjoying a fav: the last of this bottle of SAUMUR, a bone dry white from Maibe et Loire.
@plainoldme,
You have a certain access to wines that I don't have. I'll be paying attention, though.
@plainoldme,
chateau dkem is my fave phonetically
@oolongteasup,
No chateau fkem?
I do follow wine, somewhat, mostly california wines.
@ossobuco,
I'm not useful to talk with - but there are many online who are.
@oolongteasup,
Phonetic is great. I couldn't spell it without looking it up although I do remember that there is a Y and an apostrophe in the name!
@ossobuco,
Oh, I just want to have fun with this . . . just have people list what bottle they bought that day. I do know, from the recent AA thread, that there are a great many abstainers here.
Delatite
Dead Man’s Hill Gewurztraminer 2006
believe it or not i picked the grapes, (along with 10 other pickers)
I've got a gallon jug of Navajo Nights Finest Fortified on the floor by my chair.
@dyslexia,
Mix you some Navajo Nights with a Jugga Cubana Banana and drink er down. Keeps the greenheads off ya for hours. You wind up smelling like youve got diabetes
@dadpad,
Did you crush them with your barefeet?
@tsarstepan,
stepan is beginning to drink Blackhawk Whine
@plainoldme,
Hes out there suckin up to Blackhawg fans because he thinks, That by doing so, he can get more fans to root for his beloved Celtics. ALl that is because Chicago, he realizes , has no professional basketball team that could make it to "playoff status"
@farmerman,
What? Are we still in basketball season?
@plainoldme,

absinthe makes the heart grow fonder
yeah phonetics is fine but sometimes i type with a lithp which is easy to say with a lisp
@oolongteasup,
Chuckle!
Absinthe is really awful stuff.
A splurge, but only because it will soon disappear from the shelves. Clos du Papillon Savennieres 2001 . . .while there is risk in buying a white wine this old, the risk was well worth it. It was a big rich wine. Unfortunately for me, although it takes 3 or 4 evenings to work through a bottle, I was out several evenings after opening this beauty, which means it took almost a week to finish it. The wine sharpened a bit over the week.
Have not been buying wine. Wanted some wine from Chinon because of the way Peter O'Toole pronounces the word as Henry II in The Lion in Winter. A beautiful bottle of juice: Les Mureaux Chinon 2007. Fruity, fresh but with just enough body.
