is rain gear not done? I watched some youtube clips of the flotilla - raining, but very few people with umbrellas or rain slickers. Seemed odd to me.

Just got back from the grocery store and bank.
Am cleaning up slowly, slowly after the water problem and subsequent plumbers. Beginning to see the light and considering making some homemade corn tortillas. If I can do that, I'll advance to some mixed flour tortillas. Stay tuned, one of these days you'll hear of the ossobuco tortilla company (probably an oxymoron).
My corn tortillas might use bacon fat...
Of course I may get an unpleasant surprise when I open the masa package, which I've had in the cupboard quite a while. Thinking of a flock of cupboard pests - but my flours have generally been ok here in the land of hot and dry.

Forgot the temperates: 21° C and sunny today - 30°C says the forecast for Saturday ... the wedding day of Ulla's niece (Some mountains are still snow covered)

We're enjoying 73 degrees today in Silicon Valley. Will be off to Mexico and Cuba tomorrow for two weeks.
