@cicerone imposter,
It’s 9:01 PM in St. Pete and I just got finished mopping Antonio’s bathroom floor after he dumped another entire bottle of bubble bath in the tub.

@jcboy,
Ok, now that's funny..

Me, it's 7:06 pm on a beautiful spring day and I think the person that was going to show up with a doggy Igloo will not.

Time to make a salad and warm a leftover.

I know most of you mainland North Americans (Canadians and Mexicans included) aren't posting because it's past midnight for y'all (waaaay past midnight for most) and it's Wed. 18 April already. Here in the Sandwich Islands it's still Tue., the 17th, 10:13 p.m. and I ain't ready for beddy-bye yet. Another hour...maybe.

A beautiful, still, warm night here.
Very quiet & peaceful.
No dramas to report. Not one.
Fingers crossed things stay this way.

@ehBeth,
6:46 a.m. as the sun rises in New Mexico. Katy is inside after her morning visit to the yard and positioned to watch the front door. I've learned not to rush her breakfast kibble.

I'm having coffee and catching up on a2k and news sites. Took out a slice of veg and ricotta torte to thaw for myself.

Sunday, 22nd April, 3:30 pm ....

It's miserable & wet & grey outside.
Nothing for it but to take to my bed for the rest of the afternoon with a book (& my cat).
Best possible response to such a grey, user-unfriendly day. Smile

@msolga,
Yeah - could still go either way here (in Somerset England, 7:14 am- Sunday, April 22).

If I look out the window on one side of my living room - it's blue sky. Outside the window on the other side it's a threatening grey - although backlit with sun - so who knows.

It's one of my best friend's birthday and we'll have a birthday dinner and cake later come rain or shine, so I'm up cooking. I've got the chicken with barbecue sauce in the slow cooker - I do that first and then put it in the oven to finish it off - I find that makes it moister and less dry.
I've got my potatoes boiling to make potatoe salad.
I've crumbled up all the old bread for the crows that frequent my yard and bird feeder.
As soon as I get the cake out of the oven, I think I'll go back to sleep until 10:00 (I woke up at 4:30) when the stores open and I can go buy some pickles and other assorted little specifics that I forgot to buy yesterday.

Then, depending on the weather, I'll either go somewhere nice to take a walk or finish crocheting my blanket and read until supper time and the birthday party.

7.05pm Sunday in Sydney.

Just got off the phone - a friend and I are travelling from Vienna to Florence, and wanted to do it by overnight train. He's just made the booking online, while we were on the phone, mine first, and then his, and mine was 20 euros cheaper than his for the same thing, and both were cheaper than the quoted price.

As the website was all in German (OBB - Austrian Railways) we're now a bit worried about what we've actually booked.

We checked the confirmation and ticket using Google translate, and it appears to be what we wanted. I guess we'll find out.

@margo,
I don't know about Vienna, but Florence is the most beautiful city I've ever been to. You should love it, I only spent a day there, and it wasn't nearly enough.

@OmSigDAVID,
Instead of being a single issue poster Dave, why not try talking about something else, like aesthetics?

Don't you find this particularly beautiful? Just around the corner you can hire a horse and cart to take you round the city.

@OmSigDAVID,
No it's not, I've not worked out how to download my own photos yet, and I don't even have a digital camera. I just get images off the net.
