@msolga,
1.53 pm Wednesday.

Still with the sleeping sickness!

Got in about one am this morning.....slept until the kitten Le mans that had been going on round the house and in my bed became unignorable, fed cats, had water, and slept again. Got up some point and had brunch......slept....then checked phone for messages and planned some more social events.

Kitten La Mans continued through most of this.

Now determined to get up and bathed and brushed and ACHIEVE something round the house!

Still haven't even downloaded the kittens' iPad games!

Still, if I leave it for a couple of weeks they can be their BIRTHDAY games.....which will, of course, make a massive difference to the woollies. They share my philosophical aversion to Christmas.

@dlowan,
But don't overdo it, OK, Deb? Smile Wink

Consider this time you can do anything you want with, now that a tough year is coming to a close.

I do!

And who's gonna stop me?
Or you?
Anything goes! Smile

6.40pm, Wednesday, Kiama, beach town south of Sydney.

What's the use of a beachside holiday if the waves are too rough to go into the sea, and there's a bloody chill wind. This is supposed to be summer!

We went about an hour south to meet a friend for lunch, and then went to our favourite oyster place and picked up 2 dozen oysters - just out of the river. Will sit out on the terrace out of the breeze and open them tonight. We need bubbly!

My mate was woken this morning by a helicopter rescue just around the point from us - at my favourite swimming beach. Apparently someone nearly drowned in the surf before 7am. It's far too rough for a sensible person to go in.

Me - I slept through the lot - but heard it on the news later, and Mark took pics of the copter coming back up!

@margo,
7pm, Wednesday, 28th December. High temperatures have been forecast for the next few days, stocked up fridge with beer so as to be prepared. Must drink plenty of fluids with those high temperatures so as not to hydrate. Smile

@msolga,
Whoa! Sleeping sickness took over again. I ran the bath but never had it. I will soon. Went back to sleep and woke when it was too dark to go for a walk! Mind you, I think a couple of glasses of delicious Sauvignon blanc helped!

It's 10.13 pm. I must at least getbbedroom settled, right?

Gotta be somewhere by twelve fifteen tomorrow. I so better be over this sleeping!

Man, I must be depleted. Or I have rip van winkleitis.

Snow on the ground. Freezing rain and snow last evening and overnight. Looking forward to visiting one of the local museums today with the kids.

Definitely rip van winkleitis, I'd say! Smile

Set two alarm clocks for tomorrow!

12:55 pm, Tuesday 29th of December, Melbourne:

I've had to put the book I've been reading for most of the evening aside ....
Very nerve-racking, jittery reading!
Saigon is about to fall, all contact with Phnom Penh has been cut off ....
This is all seen through the eyes of a bunch of increasingly jumpy foreign correspondents in Saigon, many of whom a frantically packing & leaving.
Probably not the best for pre-sleep reading!

Enjoy the snow (if not the cold), Intrepid!
And the museum visit!

@jcboy,
8:07 in sunny San Diego.
Just had my breakfast, coffee and an omelet with parmesan and strangely enough - kale! I felt like eating some greenery this morning .....
I have another 20 minutes or so before heading out the door and commuting 25 miles to the office. At least it's against the traffic and quite a scenic ride actually....
