I'm home on vacation and about to make lunch.

I treated myself to some LSD this morning. That's runner-speak for
Long Slow Distance. I ran ten kilometers, which is not as long as
long used to be. Slow, however, is every bit as slow as slow used to
be and then some.

It is uhh-maze-ing how little i managed to get done in the last two weeks. Today I read and corrected 1 page of a student paper...ONE page. i did print 5 books and downloaded a few more, but that's about it. it's the lazy season, what can i do.
i did manage to go to my gym, swim a kilometer and go to sauna, so that counts for something.

3:09 pm, 77 F and sunny San Diego...
We just had the cable guy here (no not the movie) and we're back in business. My teenager is watching a movie on demand already while I took some work home from the office and I should do something but I feel like dagmar - it's the lazy season too! Perhaps I head down to the beach and watch the surfers for a while....

Good (only just!) morning!
I slept in till 10:50!
Now did I do that? Confused
I suspect the that dreaded disease, rip van winkleitis, is spreading across the continent, from Adelaide to Melbourne.
Feeling disoriented & mildly disturbed by it all ....
Maybe a third cup of tea will wake me up properly?

Somehow reading a story in bed never worked for us. My kid had so many questions and constantly interrupted me that we rarely went past the first pages while easily an hour and longer passed .....we settled for a German children song I taught her....

7:30 pm in San Diego
We finished dinner and are now lounging around...I think I'll read on my new Kindle (love it) a few pages...or whatever it's called now Smile

8:09pm - Man on couch, fussing over Cal/Longhorn score...spoiled dog, pecking at my feet, attempting to get me up for the third time to play "throw the indiscriminate object" game... It gets dark here abo0ut 5:20pmish...

I sit here glad to have something to do besides watch football. Most recent quote from couch, "Every snap is a sack."

@cicerone imposter,
7.10 pm here.

Just walked home from the city after lunch and a film with a friend.

Lying on study sofa relaxing after having fed cats. Need to water balcony plants soon.

Sebastian appears about to institute mad hour.
