Just finished the second cup of coffee after a late wake up following an also late return last night from a week long business trip to the East Coast. Long meetings, too much, sitting talking,negotiating, arguing and eating and too many hours in increasingly obnoxious airplanes and airports. The house is quiet - everyone out shopping and getting beautified for holiday events. I'm thinking about getting my tired butt over to the gym - I didn't have a chance to workout all week.

I think I'll have another coffee.

I think I met her once in Las Vegas.

Sunday, 11:58 am, 18th Dec, Melbourne, Oz:

Been up for a little over an hour. A very late rise for me & I'm feeling a bit disorientated by it ...
A very pleasant get-together last night .... good to catch up with old friends. And David turned up! Haven't seen him for something like 10 years. What a nice surprise!

Around 1 am, on my way home I dropped in on my very distraught friend. She hadn't taken her (absolutely necessary) medication & (long story) some very upsetting things had occurred as a result. We talked till after 3 am & I headed home to bed. She's OK.

A much cooler day today. (hooray!), I've just done my garden promenade in my pajamas, with cup of tea in hand. Weeds! How did so many pop up since my last purge just a couple of weeks ago? I'm itching to get at em. Soon.
Oh & my first 2 ripe cherry tomatoes to report!

It’s 8:01 PM in St. Pete, Antonio is taking his bath and his daddy and I are watching some TV. After he’s in bed we will look for a good movie to watch on PPV.

Eradicating weeds always brings me much joy & satisfaction!

It is 1:07 am on December 18, 2011 which is Keith Richard's 68th birthday. Keef is one of my favorite musicians ever, and I'm awake because I've just returned from a wonderful concert of some of my favorite musicians, so I'm sitting here with the Christmas lights on listening to Keith sing slipping away:



and also cameo singing 'Word Up' because the band played that song too



and drinking a diet coke and looking forward to next spring when these guys come back to play for my birthday and the summer and the Isle of Wight Festival at which Bruce Springsteen will be the headliner - so many things to celebrate, look forward to and be excited about.

I just ate a hummus and cracker sandwich and in a minute, as soon as I finish listening to music, I'm gonna take a bath and go to bed.

Happy birthday Keef, ya cool old codger.
