You may have explained, I've just found this thread again.
Thanks for caring, osso. I'm okay really - I just get thoroughly bored with myself sometimes.
I have managed to fall foul of a number of problems, the main two being COPD and diabetes 2, which means, for the most part, life is restricted to the length of tubing coming from my oxygen concentrator.
I was able to do without the oxygen for an hour or so up until about six months ago when I caught some kind of bug which knocked me silly. I just didn't bounce back as quickly as I used to. Where I had been able to unplug myself and jump into the car (read 'stagger' for 'jump') and head off to the local mall to see what was happening in the world around me, I did not even have the energy or incentive to get up out of my chair.
As you can imagine, cabin fever set in before very long. But here is an interesting twist to the plot! I have also discovered the joys of agoraphobia. 'Out there' scares me silly.
I'm in the throes of writing a book, but since my latest setback I seem to have lost the discipline required to go any further with it. The hot summer has not helped, very enervating, but now autumn has arrived perhaps things will improve. I started taking CoQ10 recently - big improvement.
A2K has been a happy solution. I can sticky-beak on what's happening in other people's cyberlives - and even put in my two cents worth now and then - without having to unplug my oxygen or leave the house. Much of my shopping is done online, so far that is working out well, but it is so easy to keep clicking that mouse whenever 'Buy Now' appears on the screen.
All of which is boring stuff, but you did ask, osso, and now you have received.
