@dadpad,
10:38 am Monday - Just spent a lot of money buying things I don't really need from Woolworths On-Line. Being housebound is not fun - retail therapy is too tempting!

@ragnel,
None of my or our business, but a clue to your being housebound?

You may have explained, I've just found this thread again.

It's 6:47 PM, EST.

The weather is warm (47 degrees F) and rainy which should clear much of our snow and some of our ice. It is, unfortunately, foggy. I just got home from work because I filled in for an ailing co-worker. I have paper work to do and messages to post to my students as well as dinner to fix. Baked bread earlier today.

@msolga,
5:25 Melbourne, Monday.

I finished oiling the decking a few hours ago.
A hot & windy day, so I expect it will be fully dry before the rain, predicted for tomorrow sometime. (a top of 30C today. Lovely! Very Happy )
My cat has complained noisily to me about the weird smell (I do see her point .. it's a bit overpowering) & has moved herself from the backyard to the front. Where she's now fast asleep under the rose bushes.

Thank you, Deb!
I am so relieved about overcoming my intense procrastination about tackling this task!
I just didn't want to do it!
So much messing around!
And now it's done. Smile

Thanks for caring, osso. I'm okay really - I just get thoroughly bored with myself sometimes.

I have managed to fall foul of a number of problems, the main two being COPD and diabetes 2, which means, for the most part, life is restricted to the length of tubing coming from my oxygen concentrator.

I was able to do without the oxygen for an hour or so up until about six months ago when I caught some kind of bug which knocked me silly. I just didn't bounce back as quickly as I used to. Where I had been able to unplug myself and jump into the car (read 'stagger' for 'jump') and head off to the local mall to see what was happening in the world around me, I did not even have the energy or incentive to get up out of my chair.

As you can imagine, cabin fever set in before very long. But here is an interesting twist to the plot! I have also discovered the joys of agoraphobia. 'Out there' scares me silly.

I'm in the throes of writing a book, but since my latest setback I seem to have lost the discipline required to go any further with it. The hot summer has not helped, very enervating, but now autumn has arrived perhaps things will improve. I started taking CoQ10 recently - big improvement.

A2K has been a happy solution. I can sticky-beak on what's happening in other people's cyberlives - and even put in my two cents worth now and then - without having to unplug my oxygen or leave the house. Much of my shopping is done online, so far that is working out well, but it is so easy to keep clicking that mouse whenever 'Buy Now' appears on the screen.

All of which is boring stuff, but you did ask, osso, and now you have received.

dys, you have really brightened my day!

To think, I have something in common with the dys! I am honoured!

Taken any good trips yet?
