Yesterday we had probably the coldest morniong yet. Ice on the inside of the car and hoses frozen.
Much better today with a chance of rain I think.

@ossobuco,
10.36 am Saturday here.

Having my first coffee.

12.7 C...rain likely.

My poor nose is bright red and very sore and swollen with some weird affliction...I thought it was an internal pimple, but now I don't know. Can you get cellulitis in your NOSE???

Busy day ahead.

I still don't know, but nose and I have just returned from doctor with scrip for antibiotics...which is good, because nose and I have felt worse and worse all day.

Decided not to go out again today, but had lovely travel planning lunch...am currently due at a fundraising dinner for a friend who is a MP in the Federal Government...but nose has grounded me. Which is odd, since it is a dark and stormy night, and I have a Rudolphesque nose!

@Pepijn Sweep,
I do like Huizen, though - and when driving to Amsterdam or North Holland, I come in a bit more to the East of Lelylaan

@Pepijn Sweep,
7.30pm beyond the Black Stump. Just finished a lovely seafood meal washed away by a couple of our best Barossa Valley white wines. Now having my feet up in front of a roaring fire and watching the football, The Saints v The Lions, should be a beauty. Are you watching msolga?

11:10 am, July 10:

Well, it's a lot more pleasant for me here today. Some cooler weather has drifted in and am enjoying the respite from the hot crap.

It's supposed to continue for a few days. Let's hope so.

On the job front, I had an "interesting" experience yesterday. I had applied for a full time janitorial position at a fruit processing plant. An interview was set up for 1 pm yesterday. I had a phone call, literally 5 minutes before I was due to drive there, saying that the position had already been hired for and that all other interviews had been cancelled.

That was rather a frusterating and depressing experience.

I do have another resume in as a food sevice worker for an extended care facility, about 6 blocks down the street from where I live. Keeping my fingers crossed on this on, as I have had some experience and I have a food safety certificate, which was asked for in the job ad.
