@msolga,
No thanks, it's a bit early still. Glad to meet you on this thread since I cannot PM you. Funny business... You have been on the Forum a long time; is this uproar a normal thing ? Hope we can keep charing instead of competing !

@Pepijn Sweep,
6:06 pm, Melbourne.

Sorry, I forgot about the time. No wine for you till later, then, Pepi.

Is the "uproar" a normal thing?

(You understand that this is my view & no one else's OK? And that I'm not a moderator, or anyone important ..? )

The circumstance are different. The things that have actually occurred feel different. Mergers involving existing groups into A2K haven't exactly happened on a regular basis over the years & PF was a big group, with a very strong identity. PF members have made a big impact on this site. So, what's happened in the last day or so is certainly feels quite different to anything that's happened here before. We certainly have had various internal dramas about changes to the site before, but (I think) things settled down pretty quickly after.

@msolga,
I hope things will settle down. I like the people I meet on A2K, but now my friends from PF are leaving again... I think the merger should have been prepared better but understand the decissions made.

@Pepijn Sweep,
I hope you (& quite a few others, too) decide to stick around, Pepi.
I'll miss you if you don't.

Besides, there's no reason why you can't belong to a number of different different forums. If you want to. Up to you guys.

@msolga,
I am not so familiar with the internet remember ? I am quite a loyal person but have been banned, sold, bought and blocked the last few months. I like the A2K forum too, but there was something special about PF. About it's members...

@Pepijn Sweep,
I know exactly what you're saying, Pepi.
I feel exactly the same about quite a number of members here.
Sigh.
I really do understand that this is very difficult for you.

@msolga,
11:00 Amsterdam

Ready for something to eat (boiling eggs) and ready to go fix my boat. The bottom needs a new coating which is a horrible job involving poisenous paint. I hope to get it done today. Tomorrow and Thursday I could lack the deck and sides of my boat Desire. Desire for what I wonder ?

5 pm in Charlottesville. 101 degrees. It was even hotter midst the sun and hot asphalt at the busy bus stop just 10 yards from the front door of my shop. A lot of older folks, kids and pregnant women wait there after visiting UVA hospital. There are buttons you can push that tie into GPS showing when the buses will arrive. We put up a little sign inviting folks to wait inside while a volunteer spotter punched the button, signaling when the bus was a minute away.
Clever, eh?

@CalamityJane,
Maybe handy for this thread -

Here in Albuquerque it's 95 F. The good news is that I don't have to go out and water.
What am I doing? avoiding paying bills.

@ossobuco,
That's a good conversion site, osso, thank you.
When I first came to the United States I just remembered the big ones
32F = 0 C; 56F = 10 C; 68 F= 20 C; 86F=30C; 104 = 40 C; anything in between
I just have a wild guess.

@CalamityJane,
-32 *5 / 9

101 -32 = 69
69 * 5 = 345
345/9 = 38,3
I just remember how to calculate again ! Smile
