3:55 PM - Hot, but not that humid. Just came in from killing poison oak plants. It's hard to get the roots, but I don't want to use weed killer.

It is 2:08 PM in Portland and I just finished taking a bath in my brand new bathtub!!!!

(Had to do it mid-day since I still don't have a bathroom door.)

@boomerang,
Take a picture of the bathtub, boomerang, I'd love to see what you ultimately
bought.

2:20 pm here in sunny San Diego
Met up with a friend and we had lunch outdoors close to the ocean. It was so
nice and relaxing, I could have sat there all day long...

It's 8:36pm. They are having a heat wave in the east and It's cold outside here, snowing in Calgary, and I'm afraid it may be heading north. We've had two whole days of summer so far.
Just got tickets for the rainmaker rodeo talent night on Saturday, exicted about that, but it's outdoors and true to it's name, it looks like it's going to pour the whole damn weekend. boo...
I think I'm going to crack a cheap bottle of wine and pout.

12:39 am Friday. I'm tempted to follow ehbeth's lead and go do some yardwork now that it has cooled off. Had an eventful evening (nothing too exciting to anyone but me) and am having a hard time getting to sleep. Browsing A2K on my Blackberry a bit. Getting sleepier as I type, tho...

yesterday afternoon I did the usual daily watering of all the newly planted flora which is essential here in the albaturkey desert. last evening we got an albaturkey 6 inch rain (one drop every six inches) fortunately the rain continued for enough hours that most every plant got a sip of water.
It is currently 9:01 a.m. friday morning, 65 degrees, sunny and a forecast for scattered showers this p.m.

What fun it is to be developing on software which is itself under
development!

Long weekend coming up, then up to Montreal for Nigel's graduation next
week. Exciting.

Played hooky from work today because mental state was being wacky and was feeling the underlying headache and zaps that goes with the withdrawl symptoms. *sighs at having forgotten to take her meds two days in a row* Must get better about that so that work is not affected. :/ *needs hugs*

Time for shower and put on a happy for face for mom and a few others to visit. Bah, just want to curl up with kitties and sleep the day away.

Friday, 2:00 pm here in beautiful sunny San Diego
I officially started the 3 day weekend and I am so looking forward to it. I am
all talked out today - 2 meetings and just talk, talk, talk. I didn't know that IT people like to talk so much. It was rewarding though, I learned a lot and have
a new project to attend to by next week.
Now I am off to pick up the teenager from school and then we'll have a late
lunch.

@mm25075,
I'm thinking hug, big hug, for you. It's OK to play hookey when you're feeling bad. Hope you feel better after shower, putting on happy face, getting hug from your mom, friends. It must be frightening to forget those meds. I won't take any for that very reason. Hug the kitties.

4:07 PM Fri.
I'm planning nothing today, just rest. Have to bathe the dogs, clip fingernails of the doxie who's scared to death of it. It's blasting hot in this TX town but we had a 15 minute downpour yesterday evening and didn't have to water all those begging plants out there this am. Have three fans going (plus ceiling fans), trying not to turn on the expensive AC until 5.

89 degrees F at around 3 on a New Mexico afternoon. 20% chance of rain, which I'd like to see. Just back from the grocery store, all happy that I found dried packaged lemon grass in the mexican herbs and spices part of the store (it's hard to find in any form around here).
