Sitting in the Atlanta airpoint digesting a burrito and waiting for my next flight. It takes just about all day to get from home to a Texas border town so I can cross the border tomorrow morning.

@engineer,
Where are you headed to? I just returned from Mexico two days ago. Spent the night before in Dallas before flying home to SFO yesterday.

Saw an "old" USAF buddy we met in Morocco over 50 years ago. He and his daughter visited for a few hours in Irving. They drove from Terrell.

@cicerone imposter,
We've got a plant in Reynosa I'm visiting this week. My first time in Mexico for business. Should be interesting.

It’s 7:52 am, I’m working from home today. I’ve already been to the gym and back. I have a load of towels in the washing machine.

@farmerman,
Right now its 59 degrees but it’s supposed to get about 74 today. I’ve had to bring the tortoises inside at night, way too cold for them to be outside, oh and for me too. Cool

@jcboy,
I'm now sitting on the floor of my nephew's condo in Honolulu on the 40th floor with views of Diamond Head and the ocean. At 7:30 last night, we saw 10 minutes of fireworks from the dining room windows.

My brother and I are meeting a guy we knew in concentration camp during WWII at 12:30 today at Ala Moan a SC.

It's in the high 70's today - and most days this week.

getting cold here in Toronto - wind storm warning in effect - parts of the city have power outages as trees came down during the wind storms earlier today

considering breakfast and the day's plans. I'm supposed to go to a Sultans of Strings concert and to troupe rehearsal this afternoon. I don't particularly like the idea of leaving the house for either.

@ehBeth,
8:23 a.m. mountain time. In a minute I'll feed Katy and then myself (um, fishcake with pickle/mayo). Am lallygagging with a cup of coffee. It's suppose to get to 54 today - I may venture to the front "garden" to do a bit of work between paying attention to football games.

@ossobuco,
Wait...you called her by her real name? Did she do something wrong?

It's 10:30 am ET here...looks to mostly sunny and warm, light wind...65 ish... prob'ly get to 'typical mid 70s. Coffee cup #2. Loving this Columbian brew. Going to make some eggs for me and Brady, the Wonder Dog.

Looking so forward to today's football game. Going to be very sad when this season ends as it's been one of the best...most competitive bunch of games in years. Hard to say what's going to happen...but it should be 2 really good games no matter what.

@George,
Yea, its a 2012 Ford F-150.
I got it last night because my old blazer was about to give up the ghost.
And, since it was a used truck, it cost me a lot less.
The original owner bought it, put 12,000 miles on it, and then traded it in for a chevy silverado, so it was simply to good a deal to pass up.
I will post pick later, but its solid black with leather seats and its an extended cab so I have room for the grandkids.

@mysteryman,
My friend Two-Mile Mike has one (also used).
I call it the BFT (B for Big, T for Truck).
He bought a plow for it last winter, so of course, it barely snowed at all.
