This is Diest TKO. I opened a new account for a2k. The old name was just something that I haven't identified with for a long time. I haven't been a Deist in many years, and the spelling error has been shaming me on every post for the last four years.
I had tried to get the spelling fixed, but then I thought about it, and it didn't really matter. No point in correcting the word that I didn't want to be associated with anymore. So I guess this is my fresh start here on A2K. I have an empty "my topics" page (and perhaps good riddance to that).
May I suggest simply using "Art" or "Failure?" I mostly recal being shortened to "Deist," and "TKO." I do recall some posts referring to me as "DTKO" in shorthand though...
meh. It wouldn't be a Monday if my friends didn't take the piss out of me.
If people used to call you DTKO, will they now call you FART as joefromchicago suggested? Did you choose your new name carefully?
It's another internet handle I've had for years, and I guess the answer is that I didn't think about common A2K shorthand when selecting it, I just thought about consolidating internet identities.
FART isn't so bad. Perhaps it will help lighten things up around here. Everyone has been so damn serious lately.

It's from an Elliott Smith Song: "Tomorrow Tomorrow"
Everybody knows
Which way you go
Straight to over
No one wants to see
You inside of me
Straight to over
I heard the hammer at the lock
Say you're deaf and dumb and done
Give yourself another talk
This time make it sound like someone
The noise is coming out
And if it's not out now
Then tomorrow, tomorrow
They took your life apart
And called you failures art
They were wrong, though
They won't know till tomorrow
I got static in my head
The reflected sound of everything
Tried to go to where it led
But it didn't lead to anything
The noise is coming out
And if it's not out now
I know it's just about
To drown tomorrow out
I've always been fond of the sentiment, and the juxtaposition of the words.
Oh dear. Set enjoys dismantling me enough already. I fear this may be just too easy for him. Damn me! I'm temptation incarnate!

You've already made it to the perfect sig line topic.
I think I'd rather call you Windy, if that's okay.

Something spontaneous will come from my typing fingers..

Not to sound dense, but what is the sentiment of this song? I didn't understand any of it.
