Also did Victoria Falls in South Africa. While there, one guy did the powered kite over the falls. If I had known they offered that flight, I would have done it too. Lucky for me, he sent me a picture that he took while flying over the falls after our return from that journey, but I can't seem to locate it to post it here.

That's a sexy pink (the helliconia I mean) got quite a few in the backyard, also have quite a few green tree frogs. Never saw them do this together before. Cool.

WOW! I never heard of this place. It's too bad it came so late from my days of travel. I would definitely have included this place on my itinerary. After all seven continents, 132 countries in all, flying to Mt Everest, dipping my feet in the Dead Sea, visiting Esparanza Base in Antarctica, and visiting both the northernmost and southernmost cities of the world, I thought were all there was to see. Thank you very much for sharing these pictures. I'm really grateful that you shared them on a2k, because I visit here often. The closest I ever got to what we may call "strange looking trees" are the acacia trees in Africa and the banyan trees in Hawaii.
