@Region Philbis,
Cool. I looked for them last night but there are too many trees around here to get a view of the north horizon.

The aurora borealis, or the northern lights as they are commonly known, over Derwent water near Keswick in the Lake District.

People across the UK have been enjoying the celestial display of the aurora borealis, or northern lights, seen here over Lough Neagh in Northern Ireland. The phenomenon is caused by eruptions on the surface of the Sun, and this most recent activity has been unexpectedly strong.

Hard to decide about this one - nature photo or photo of quite a spire..

Mont Saint-Michel, France
A woman walks through mud at low tide around the Mont Saint-Michel 11th century abbey off France’s Normandy coast. Visitors gathered to watch the tide disappear out of sight, exposing areas of beach and rock visible only every 18 years

@ossobuco,
That's one of those places I've read about and seen pictures of that place for a very long time that peaked my interest in going there, but never have. Maybe, one of these days. There are several tours that starts in Paris and goes to the beach of Normandy that's also of interest.

@cicerone imposter,
There you are - I was starting to worry about you. You might have posted but I missed it.
I remember reading about it a lot time ago - some relatively early mystery writing by an english author. Maybe more than one mystery writer too; it seems a place that "calls" to people.

@msolga,
I love these photos. You know recently I met someone who said photography is not art. And I've been wondering, if someone can create such cool adorable photos like the ones here, is that not art?
