@saab,
Brattfors was a very small village not far from Karlstad if I remember correctly. I was 12 years old at the time and did learn a little Swedish but have forgotten it over the years. Du gamla, Du fria, your National Anthem we were taught.

I had a fantastic time watching the Quadrantids this morning, but only got one to show up in an exposure, sadly. Hardly worth posting, but here is the one I got:

Saw gobs and gobs, though, many of which were clearly in front of my glass. Not sure why they didn't show up in the exposures.

Every once in a while I luck out and take a great nature photograph.

@Region Philbis,
I agree. Haven't driven into PS for several years now, but I used to like the place.
Those mountains, as Panzade probably knows, are the San Jacintos; my brother in law built a place on the other side of them, in a small community called Pine Cove, near Idyllwild.

Here's a picture, not all so unusual but in a relatively unusual place -

Nature at it's most frightening - hitting Cumbrian houses in the North-West of England yesterday.

@ossobuco,
The San Jacintos are awesome.
I used to surf Biarritz, just up the coast, back in the 70's

@panzade,
And in the early sixties, some of us working for an m.d. after school got to be friends. Friends's father was the writer/main guy for the My Three Sons series. She was energetic, interested in stuff all around, and me too, by then, by the skin of my teeth - I had just woken up.

Her dad had a pad in Palm Springs to write in, not fancy, the opposite, and we went there a few times. I well remember an empty small pool, all of us going to the store to get snacks and magazines, hating date shakes, the movies being a cool place when it was 118. Well, I'm conflating, I don't think Georgia took us there when it was 118 - that was another episode.

Main thing I remember is that the first time I heard the Beatles was Georgia driving and whacking her ring on the steering wheel, taking us there.

Ok, ok, back with nature photos in a bit.

@panzade,
That picture clearly show more than luck. 'That was awesome.
That is well-composed masterpiece.

I know this for a fact. You know a lot about balancer and composition and as an appreciator of art (as are many others on here). You got art.
