how about the Latin translation of "Go ahead and call the damn sheriff," a line memorably uttered by my brother shortly BEFORE the sheriff was called! [I know there isn't a true Latin word for sheriff; is the Italian sceriffo close enough??]

I think the closest latin word to sheriff would be praefectus.

Age, advoca praefectum damnatum

Age -- Do (used in the same sanse as "go ahead" in English)
advoca -- call
praefectum -- prefect, analogous to sheriff
damnatum -- damned (I'm just translating this directly)
