Trolls, or trolling behaviour ...how do we deal with these isues as an online community?

Spendius--It is my considered opinion that the people who use ignore say more about themselves than they say about the person who is on ignore. I believe that they are saying that there is no way I can rebut this person's ideas or evidence--therefore, I won't even look at it. That does not cause me a problem since I am content if I only have two or three intelligent posters with which to banter with.
I really am not disposed to give any time to those who could not post intelligently in any case.

Yeh, I recall Massa often being a valuable observer and dispassionate presentor of favts. SOme people just hate him/her, but, like DAve, he/she is an acquired taste .(and like Dave, his/her libertarian leanings sometimes poke through)

That was an attempt in the past to intimidate me through name-calling. It was then that I knew that I had been successful in my posts since name calling is really the last weapon of imbeciles.

I have to disagree. With many here it is the first weapon ......Oh! ......Right. I have found they dont mind starting a name calling slanging match but they only have tolerance for calling others names. They have very little tolerance for being called names back...typical bullies, really.

He is actively hostile to logic.
I tried to reason with him for quite a while, but it was futile,
like trying to reason with Gracie Allen.

I thought that providing this information to u possibly might
