@Setanta,

and St. Augustine have nice beaches, but not much else in the way of tourist attractions.

Nonsense. You would have an incredible time exploring the oldest continuously occupied European established city(1565) in the continental US. There are a lot of interesting historical buildings and museums. Not to speak of the old fort

The hamsters must've read Osso's reference to Las Vegas. The ad at the bottom of my page promises low air fares from Honolulu to Las Vegas!

@dlowan,
IF it isn't a scam and IF you end up in the eastern portion of the US of A, you damned well better find a way to get your ass (and the rest of you) to da Big Apple.

There's more stuff to see here than there is in Florida. I've been to Florida. Bored out of my mind--although I did like the Space Mountain roller coaster ride at Disney World.

@panzade,
For my money, St. Augustine is about the only place in Fla. worth visiting. Spent a great afternoon at the old fort a couple of summers ago. Actually learned a few historic facts also. Fun town, all in all. Please, please give Miami back to the Seminoles.

@Merry Andrew,
I hear that a lot but I really love the city. Of course it helps that I'm fluent in Spanish and I don't feel threatened there like the gringos do. It reminds me of the Riviera or what Havana must have been like eons ago.
