@ehBeth,
it will be my professional follow spot debut.

I've done it several times for free as training.

and next month a friend is moving to Texas and he owns a regular spotlight position...

@ehBeth,
I learned it in high school.

on a rather more vintage model than what we use now.

it's harder work than folks might think. and the headsets are usually not verra comfy over two hours...

performance pay is one area I am looking to improve on this year.

my number has dropped 20 spots on the call list since last year when I got a copy. in a couple more years I will work steady...

Ha ha ... no.

I am back home, safe from snow, cold winds, and earthquakes (I hope), in case anyone was concerned.

I did have to drive through some nasty dust storms in Texas yesterday, which did remind me of my new home. Then New Mexico provided 19 degrees and a nice dusting of snow for my morning drive, capped off by arriving home to 80 degree, gorgeous weather, allowing for a nice cigar out on the balcony.

mid week breath.

and bowl o' gumbo...

worked two shifts out to the gaming house today. unloaded trucks this morning, and built the ring and cage this afternoon.

until about half way through the 2nd shift all was kosher.

then my show boss got a phone call. and started saying dirty words...

they have to replace the canvas for every match. biohazard...

and the new one for Friday's show was in Memphis as of 4 pm today.

we will regroup and I get another shift tomorrow.

followed by a 16 hour friday...

gonna try and crash early.

@ehBeth,
last time the local sound company head guy claimed it and took it home.

the promoters consider it hazardous waste...

it's a very bloody, brutal "sport". the underpad is a gory map of wrong moves.

I'm glad I am on spotlight at the country concert instead of the fight...

@Rockhead,
Gah...my feet are so hot. Maybe this is a sign of spring. I drink wine...my feet get hot. This does not happen in the winter.

I am so happy so see spring...but I feel like plunging my feet in ice water...

What? Tippling?

yes. yes...of course. As long as I drink plenty of water I see no harm in it.
Anyway - I clean my house so much better when I am under the influence.

At least it feels that way. I am good with that.

Hugs.
