awoke briefly from my 18 hour nap.

gonna take a soaky bath, watch the shockers, and meet with the owners of the place I'm moving. to finalize details...

then back here to sleep some more...

it's official.

I am moving again.

we'll slowly start after the first of the month, so as to maximize trips into town. hoping to avoid having to pay help again. last time hurt me...

the new place is 7 minutes from gram. she's excited.

the garage will be perfect after a little roof work and some welding. gonna make bars for the windows. not losing any equipment to the neighborhood if I can help it.

but I will have enough space to have all of my toys live with me.

mebbe by summer I can be cruising the 55...

come to jesus meeting tomorrow night after work with the vert dude.

if I can get him done and outta my life, my whole world will improve a coupla shades...

pimping their next venture

hmmmm.

my next venture is at MTW this morning. then a meet and bitch session with a maniac car owner this evening.

then tomorrow, I finally install a transmission in the red truck. and meet with the prospective buyer for said truck.

if all goes well, wednesday is a lump day...

long day...

and I was the call steward. gonna have to brush up on my paperwork skills. this prolly won't be the last time.

moving on up the union chain...

got two hours of OT, and the rest o' the crew was fed pizza for lunch.

when they bring in food, we only get a half hour, so running for something I could eat was outta the question.

I survived, but am so tired now that I will just deal with my belly tomorrow.

on install transmission day...

wednesday is still scheduled foe serious lumping. I hurt all over. we moved the sets for 8 different shows. music theater got new warehouse space.

and there will be another call yet this week to finish the job. guessing I will be asked back...

sluggish but functional.

and I could install this transmission blindfolded...

if the prospective buyer shows, great. if not, no sweat. craigslist here I come.

then Ima go buy some groceries and come back to the ranch for some well needed and deserved R and R.

this hard week will feel real good about tax day. which is also moving time.

a few more pieces to move into place, and me and stinky may finally have some stability...

and I hope this one goes more smoothly than the last one. gonna try and do it all solo. paying for help hurts...

speaking of hurts.

got the transmission installed and test drove the truck. all's well there. meeting with the buyer on Thursday.

grabbed some food. gonna stick some brats and sauerkraut in the oven and start my lumping early.

I feel like ****...

I'm watching TPB while my dinner cooks.

I think my favorite thing is when they blur out the faces of bubbles' cats...

can't tell you how happy I will be to part ways with him in 30 days.

and then I move...

picked up a roasted chicken while I was shopping for cat food. making some rice and onions to go with.

by this time next month I hope to be able to eat a little better. 30 more days of hell, and then things should level out.

with no health insurance...

Kansas sucks. not that this is news to me.

but I have done without this long, why change now...

trying to force a little springtime feeling.

par boiling some taters. gonna make some tater salad. and I am making BBQ ribs.

and then some broccoli to make it all feel healthy...

gonna try and work on the vert all day tomorrow.

off to town for a long day at C2. setting up for an expo of some sort.

hoping against hope that I can avoid being a carpet kicker...

dog I hate fecking with carpet and pipe and drape.

but it's a living...

on two separate occasions today I was told I was a favorite boss. especially odd due to the crappy nature of our adventure today. mebbe cuz I just expect them to follow me through the tasks. not a lot of "bossing" going on...

and we got paid a day early. good for my gas tank.

and it was a coupla hundred more than I was planning on.

good for the pantry...

gonna go work on my for sale truck tomorrow. and help the boys make a waste oil run.

tonight, it's a movie and a bottle o' cherry wine...

got all my work done, and it's only mid afternoon. amazing what happens when you start at the same time as everybody else...

ol' bob give me two steel oil drums. gonna make another double barrel heater. for the new shop next winter.

and I went minor grocery shopping. and grabbed a pizza. it's reheating in the oven now. (with cheese)

(I may well regret that choice tomorrow...)

to top it all off, I was the last man added for the G. Strait concert on friday.
