@ehBeth,
I'm glad you think so...

I feel anything but at the moment. verra fuzzy. slept 13 hours. need more...

my shift at Bellator tomorrow starts at 10 pm. prolly be light before we leave the casino.

anyone wishing to see what I helped build can watch it on spike teevee. live with a healthy delay.

but beware. MMA fighting is very viciously violent. it reminds me of ancient Rome.

the underpadding for the canvas is permanently bloodstained...

I gotta get myself together and go to town. this is my day to get the vert rolling toward color down to Josh's.

and gram needs groceries, and I gotta try and meet with my attorney to get my hoose money back...

wow...

incredibly fast paced change filled day.

and I conquered it...

got all the details worked out on the country house. and I think I have a temporary roomie...

R is gonna come stay with me for a while and try to get her feet again.

and help me move...

I dropped her at her dad's tonight, she is gonna stay there and help him find a buncha paperwork for medicare. lotsa levels of troubles. but a helping hand is a good thing...

while I have a small surplus of cash, Ima try and pay it forward a little.

I have a coupla other projects before I resume chasing home ownership. good folks that need a little boost.

bob would be pleased with me...

and to top it all off, as I came home, my path was blocked by a damaged semi pulling a trailer full of freshly harvested milo.

I went around the mile square to get home and ventured over to see what was the problem.

operator error...

the driver took the turn too wide and killed it. and the cab was off the pavement distorting the frame just enough that the clutch switch wasn't catching...

I asked what was the fix, as I had a fully equipped shop across the road, and he said Big Chain.

so I went and got 50 feet of heavy chain, and we hooked the truck to the combine and pulled it back on the road.

it fired and ran.

just as the cops showed up to help...

@JPB,
thank you...

this is the first day in a long time that I have not felt the pressure of the other foot possibly dropping.

and I got the moody blues call.

I am the only down-rigger...

I saw what is killing my chickens. and it was incredible.

not quite sure if it was the biggest hawk I've ever seen, or an eagle.

we have some golden eagles around here of late. it may well have been one of them.

huge wing span. 6 feet or more...

it flew off directly away from me, so I never saw the head or breast.

headed to town.

gonna be a long day...

gotta go over to the salvage and patch a tire, then collect R from her dad's and see about gathering her belongings. then I gotta put 6 wheel studs in her kid's truck. and mount the tire I'm fixing. (long story here somewheres)

then at 10 I start breaking down the fight set.

I expect to be done around daylight...

we got done early. and we kicked ass.

I will stop and enjoy my promotion after I get up early and go roof a modular home with my new head rigger (casino only).

if there is an event at the Star, I will be there now...

@Rockhead,
Sounds like things are beginning to stabilize on the work front.

Are you moving to beyond the middle of nowhere soon (you're already in the middle of nowhere)?

@Rockhead,
I love it when somebody I know does well. It lifts my spirits just to hear about it.

thank you both for weathering the storm with me...

I feel like I was hit by the bus.

I am still adjusting to the physicality of my chosen profession.

today will be all about pharma.

but I will get through it and tomorrow is wide open.

I'm thinking it's mostly about sleep...

there was no ground pork.

so we are experimenting with really lean (really expensive) beef...

but it smells fabulous on a cold windy wet day.

brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

cold front laid me out this morning.

ready to live somewhere with a heater...

the good news is that there don't seem to be any major ill effects from eating beef last night. and I ate a lot...

trying to get warm and dressed (at the same time) so I can be ok to work at 10.

moody blues today...

mornings are much gentler next to the heater...

and I slept until I could not.

had to turn down an opportunity to go do some work for NPSE. the nports setwork.

they needed some folks to coil cables.

and while I almost understand the basics of over and undering cable, it is not one of my better skills.

I would hate to be marked as "don't ask back".

gonna have Don work with me when I can to further that talent...

home.

long shaky starting day...

took the vert hood over to mr vw's and finished off the welding.

then went down to my other place of business and did the grinding while pat was doing the finish mud work. I think he and I will do more projects together. he wants to learn the old skool ways, and I can't see good enough to do the finish work he likes doing.

I think as long as he keeps working cheap, we could do some really cool stuff.

Josh is talking about wanting to partner up on the vw based trike I have. (it still hasn't sold as a project and it is moving time)

we may just build it down there as a community project...

very good vibe there. everyone likes their role.

got my leather recliner in the back of the truck. gonna try and load the 55 ford on the dolly and take it over to my new home.

I get to see the inside for the first time. and scope out the garage to see what will fit inside...

dinner tomorrow night with mr vw at Doc's.

maybe a regular friday night occurrence.

we'll see...
