I hope these gigs keep on keeping on (without the arm/hand squash)

I wish I had a reco about the skunk/s. The only ones I know involve dogs and/or donkeys.

@Rockhead,

hamburgboy's late brother loved vehicles like this

flattest shtoopid trunk ever in the car he took me to university in one term. not even the stereo speakers fit in.

but it was super cool to tool down the highway in it

@ehBeth,
I gotta wait and see if I get it, but...

if it still has the original drive train in it (and I think it does)

a lot of very cool old hot rod parts will bolt on.

(think ram-air IV induction or tri-power carbs)

or I may make it late model fuel injection powered...

body and paint issues first.

@ehBeth,
I think gathering the eggs before it gets dark is my best bet.

(he says as the sun sets, and so do the eggs)

and my hand is ok.

but I just went deep in my pocket for a lighter, and about went to my knees.

my wrist is gonna take some time...

lucky it didn''t break a bone. it was a large cable box. heavy lid with a lot of swing.

I must be getting healthier...

@Rockhead,
gotta get some new chickens and some kind of protection. Weve lost all but 3 of 27 chickens (some of the flock had reproduced)
Weve been attacked by raccoons . Ive caught 2 in a HAVAHART trap and Ive taken em to the other side of the Susquehanna River .Yes there are bridges but they are only Interstate roads and the shortest bridge is1/4 mile long

@farmerman,
I ran off another skunk tonight. lost 2 more eggs...

interestingly enough, I just got off the phone with the best friend of the girl I had been dating.

she called to keep my spirits up.

and she has a live trap that needs fixing, but I can have it if I want it.

now I gotta figure out how to remove the little bastards without getting sprayed...

There is a dairy farm not so far down the road. I see skunk roadkill in that place more than elsewhere. I am thinking they are attracted by the feed for the cows. No matter how many get run over, there are more in the bushes. It's never ending, I suppose.

@edgarblythe,
not sure why every time I try to get a wave of motivation started, the weather turns to ****.

but it does it a lot...

cold with a ball of crap sitting just south of us.

gonna toss on the insulated coveralls and go play farmer anyways...

trying to sell a truck that my attorney has had stashed with me for years. if he can produce a title. and if my buyer stays the course...

gonna hafta mix some concrete to cure my skunk ills.

and today is not a concrete mixing kinda day...

but I'll get all the tin up and some 4x4's laid out to make burrowing less easy peasy lemon squeezy for the buggers...
