while my chicken turns to soup.

It's Thanksgiving here this weekend.

Thanksgiving means it's November if you're in the U.S.

it feels like it outside tonight.

I got my coat on to move plants.

Ima stash a lot of them in my old place for tonight...

(there is a distinct poultry smell emanating from the kitchen, however...)

What? A coat? A freeze tonight? You're kidding!

We're not that far away, and it's still 66 degrees here at 9 p.m. We're expecting a low of 52.

they've bumped it back a bit now, but still low 40's. with a stiff north breeze.

25 saturday night...

sunday is guppy rescue mission day.

I may try and cover the pond saturday night to minimize the heat loss from the pond.

ideally I woulda harvested them last weekend.

but lion king prevailed.

and mr vw was busy.

he is much better at catching the little buggers than I am...

mmmmm.

it ended up as chicken stew, but it rocks...

and it will feed me two more times.

well...

And it tastes better the second time around you know that .

it tastes better just because I don't have to take the time to cook it again.

I have so much to do as winter approaches.

including the vert...

wally's called. I can go get my money for smoky's birth control pills.

it's two. my self imposed deadline to feel better or go anyway.

and I hadda make a list. because I'm fuzzy, and because there is only funding for the list.

gram was at her most trying today. with a bug up her butt...

but I survived, and all her shopping is done for a while.

gonna go finish moving plants in from the cold.

and then look into dinner.

got a coupla pork cutlets, and I think Ima fry some taters and onions up.

we'll save the chicken soup. I want some real meat to chew on tonight...

due to grams stormy day, I missed my window at wally's.

now I hafta go to town again tomorrow. or at least the north end of it...

but I hadda do what I hadda do.

she kinda even knew she was a handful today.

I feel badly for her.

and she feels very all alone.

gotta play the cards as they get tossed....

off to move plants around.

had to lose the coat, I was working up a sweat.

got all the doors open and the lights on. moving **** everywhere...

cleaning the rest of my nonessential stuff outta my old trailer, so I can put plants inside.

and using my empty back-hauls to remove stuff from smoky's place (mostly trash)

and using the shop to stage some of it.

I hope to empty my old fridge so I can shut it off.

I'm paying all the bills now, so we gotta trim the fat...

I took a detour...

decided that the only plan that really made sense was to clean all the **** offa the back porch, and make that my greenhouse.

a really good plan, but mega work...

I'm almost done putting the plants in. hadda fix the floor first.

but now the joint really has that feel of my place.

a jungle as I walk inside is perfect.

and I had already taken the machete to the sunflowers so I could load the trailer up.

now I can proceed in making that an art studio instead of putting plants out there so I could forget about them and let them die.

and they will all get regular water because they are in my flight path.

and my world gets brightened a little as I come and go...

now I gotta eat something.

kinda missed supper in my furor...

I dint get up in time to run to wally's. and I really had no other reason to burn fuel. it will be there on monday...

I stayed up real late moving crap around, and needed to sleep. and it's firkin cold. I have 2 layers on. and the dryer going. (need laundry anyways) and some candles.

not gonna turn on the heater until I have to.

I have a need/hate relationship with them gas company fellers...

I mighta kinda sorta stepped on a nail last night.

a big long ugly one. that may have made me look like curt schilling as I finished my jobs last night...

my last one woulda been right before I left tennessee.

I tangled with a stainless exhaust tip, and lost badly. and waited thinking it would get better. and it got less than that.

but I learned a lesson there. (not the one you all might suggest, however)
