@JPB,
all right you two...
what a firkin day..........
all over the map, but overall an A+ day. albeit an incredibly long one...
started off by switching coats at the last minute, and locking myself out of not only the house, but the truck. the only running vehicle on the property at the moment...
so I broke in the front door with four rather noisy shoulder strikes. gotta wonder what my neighbor mighta thought.
so after a mad dash through morning rush craziness, I hadda find a place to park. with two events simultaneously at a venue with almost no parking...
I was on time.
my boss was late...
and I had the most awesome day in the most wonderful cozy 500 seat theater you'll ever find.
and other than leaving a large amount of blood, and a small chunka finger on the deck, it was magic. (a drilling in the dark episode) no stitchery needed...
we started with a blueprint, and built an entire grid, assembled and dressed the set, and focused and shaded all of the 120 lights. 200 if you count trees and bars...
and watched 50 kids rehearse "once upon a mattress".
and I will be requested back. the lady in charge even went and got me GF/ DF chocolate cookies, cuz she had fresh baked ones for everyone else on the crew, and she knew about my diet because I didn't leave for lunch and we chatted...
very very nice lady...
and then I got home and my room was dark.
and my computer would not power up.
so, what the hell, I broke open a parts 'puter, and changed out the power supply.
and we're back up and online.
with sound.
and I gotta be up in 5 hours to go do it again...
