all of my favorite cars have had manual transmissions.

but I wouldn't have one in my work truck.

I still have a little honda prelude out back that has survived the purge of toys for cash, and will prolly be a winter time project.

so I can have transportation that gets 30 plus mpg.

and is blazing fast and fun to drive.

we'll see how the funds get distributed.

been cleaning out the crispy kid's room so I can move in.

but now it is as clean as it gets. (gonna find some nice rugs to use over the yucky carpet.)

moved my art in. and most of my clothes.

got the whole north end of the trailer clean and unsmokified...

tomorrow, if all goes well, Ima move my bed in.

found a verra cool cat tree under a pile of old clothes.

bubba will be stoked.

dink won't care. as long as my bed is there. he is king of dad's bed. undeniably.

bubba doesn't even try anymore...

gonna crash hard, and hope to be viable tomorrow.

and I think I will make a big ceremonial bonfire, and burn all of the gallon jugs I have been hauling my water in for 2 years...

and then take a looooong hot shower, just because I can.

went to town and had my computer guys put ends on my cat5 cable. 203 feet by ohms...

they hadn't seen me for a while, and both commented separately on how much better I was looking than last time. (I musta been really off)

tonight is the night.

gonna unhook the computer and move to the big house...

got me a chicken and some broccoli.

gonna try and eat first.

I hate moving, even when it's less than 500 feet...

Ima hafta fix the walls and tub in my bathroom post haste...

gotta inventory my stone and ceramic tile, and decide how hard I wanna work.

but it will be a bathroom worthy of the time I spend there. it has a large tub, and I saw a really cheap jet tub at the humanity place. (prolly more headache than I need)

and I moved my bathroom picture and shower curtain already.

gonna tackle the bed last, in case I can't do it alone.

my other bed is inside already, I had donated it to the crispy kid, but he never made it back home...

my timing couldn't be better.

the rooster is just beginning to crow of a dawn.

and it's getting pretty dang cold at night now.

I still gotta chop wood, but not nearly as much for just the shop.

dropped my saw off for a new chain and a sharpen as I went downtown.

be lumberjack time all too soonly...

my friend and her son the new marine are coming out tomorrow afternoon to see the chickenses.

she said he would help me with the big stuff...

done for tonight.

all the electronics are in and working.

having a brownie and some dairy free ice cream.

it certainly sounds like me now...

stinky is already home. he's so cool in his middle age.

I can't find bubba, but I knew that would happen. she'll come out to eat...

it feels weird not to hear the sounds of the birds as I awaken. insulation has it's drawbacks.

but I didn't have to sleep in my sweats to stay warm, either...

off to take a shower. in the next room.

funny what you get used to. when you don't have a choice...

I quietly went over and put a good used spark plug wire and some separators to prevent future burned spots on my neighbor's truck.

I left him the old wire so he will know I've been there.

and he'll get quite a nice surprise next time he drives it.

I got tired of listening to it hit on 7 cylinders...

now I gotta figure out what I wanna do on the first day of the rest of my life...

I used all the hot water this morning...

and had the who play me a concert while I was getting my groove on.

my friend and her son. and her mom. and a friend. are coming to dinner.

and to help with the heavy lifting.

hadda buy a giant new wok.

gonna make my thai shrimp and veggies for 5.

it just feels weird not to live in a house with taillights...

well...

this has been an interesting and productive evening.

excellent chow, and got my bed moved in before the storm came...

waiting on my sheets to dry now. I decided my new room deserved fresh clean bedding.

but the power keeps blinking off. and the dryer doesn't work when the house is dark.

believe it or not, smoky has not a single candle in this place.

tomorrow after it isn't pouring, I will bring all of mine in. along with my clothes.

gonna wash everything and...

hang them in a closet.

I feel so normal...
