feel like I'm gone all the time now...

got a marble sink top and faucet for my neighbors from the habitat for humanity "restore"

$20. and the faucet was over a hundred new. very very nice. wooden handles...

gonna help him re-floor and refurbish his bathroom, it's soggy and soft under the terlet.

I've done both of smoky's and told him we could do his in a day.

Sunday.

Saturday I have a date. sort of...

but I'm not scheduling anything else just in case.

and I'm cooking something gourmet, I just haven't decided what yet...

got a chicken in the micro. and a salad.

need to eat, and then Ima work in the shop until the rains come. then I'll tarp the vert and go bed.

Soooo glad I mowed last night...

I have very little but time in it.

@ehBeth,
anyways...

home.

it finally stopped raining. we needed it.

but I hafta tarp anything I don't want wet in the shop. so I don't get a lot done when it rains here.

but all my errands are caught up.

and gram has a hair appointment tomorrow afternoon. so Ima sleep in a bit and get a good run at another productive day.

if it's dry, Ima take my gate down south and fit it for hinges and a latch...

and I am going to go buy myself a chopsaw.

not gonna fire up any heat out here, though.

a security system will be in the works verra soonish...

and now that it's cold and I am being semi0social, I get to wear all of the cool jackets I've collected through my travels.

I had to look that up

http://anthropology.rice.edu/uploadedFiles/People/Faculty_and_Staff_Profiles/Boyer_Documents/Digital%20Expertise.pdf

Quote:
It is not so much the case that cybernetic-informational epistemology
taught anthropology to be concerned with language and semiosis; rather,
its saturation of the postwar human sciences “ informed” the elevation of
language and semiosis into signature concerns of postwar anthropology,
and, more distinctively, it encouraged anthropologists to think about
various aspects of semiosocial order (for example, “culture”) in systemic,
recursive, and informationalist ways (see, e.g., Collier 1975 or Rappaport
1971). This silent shaping of knowledge has led me to write elsewhere of
a cybernetic and digital “unconscious” within postwar anthropological
theory and practice (Boyer n.d.).

can I just say

WOW !

I gotta go jump in the shower and get ready to go face the publics.

gram will be awaiting my presence under the giant hair dryer thingies that look like big stainless steel scientific brain suckers...

I been cleaning a spot for myself in smoky's trailer...

and then somehow the tv was on bbcamerica.

and I was watching the end of a terrible robin hood movie thinking how in the hell did kevin costner ever get a job as an actor.

and then it happened...

escape from new york was on next.

I miss Ernie...

but I remember why I don't have a tv.

I gotta stay up past 2.

but I can't say why yet...

if anyone sees McG, encourage him to go back to bed.

Ima go throw away some more stuff in smoky's.

tomorrow I gotta dig a big ass trench.

but it rained all day yesterday, it should be kinda sorta soft.

I hope...

I'm on animal duty over to mr vw's.

he's down to the lake for the bluegrass festivus...

I gotta go get some baby button quails out of the incubator and give them a baptism. then throw them in to try and survive among their big brothers and sisters until he comes home...

and feed all the other birds and fish and dogs and cats and guinea piglets.

no hamsters here...

got everybody fed and watered and ready to be alone again. except for the new babies in the incubator.

getting my nerve up. (they sometimes jump out and he has to chase them)

they are like itty bitty speedy gonzalezes.

and I don't wanna crush one...

silky is lonely. she tried to talk me into cuddling with her on the bed.

I still have that affect on cats, but women, not so much any more...

off to dunk some baby birdlets.

well, I'm glad I don't do that every day.

two of the little buggers. just to make it fun.

I caught the first one in mid air with a quick backhand as it made it's break for freedom and a giant chase. and the second one was trapped in the corner of the lid.

so I flipped him in the air and caught him as well.

we'll call it early flying practice...

there was a third one just breaking his shell in two, but I left him for mr vw to have something to do when he gets home.

gonna fly on home now. carefully. it's drunk drivem time...

got all my chores done.

restocked the feral's food. fed my kids their freshly restocked wet food.

and dragged the sheet of 3/4 inch plywood into the shop to avoid the drizzle.

in the morning I rip out my neighbors terlet, and repair the floor. then top the whole schmeer with a fresh layer.

then put the terlet back in and build a new sink.

I gotta find my plumbing pants.

the ones that show my crack...

gotta crash now.
