a little back story.

Robin Macy* bought the old bartlett arboretum in Belle Plaine, and has brought it back to life.

and made it a nice little venue for small concerts on the grass under the giant pines...

she is one of the nicest ladies on the planet. shook my hand and thanked us for coming out...

I looked up the arboretum - what a great story.

it's a verra beautiful and special place.

like it's not in Kansas even...

I'm glad you were strong-armed into going out there.

given that the alternative was sand-blasting, I'm glad as well.

next time I needa bring my own food. there were two really good food vendors, neither of which had anything I could eat...

but the place has it's aura back.

I'll sit him down first, he is not far removed from a surgery of some sort. I'm sposed to not let him lift stufff.

anyways, they got out of the carport contract from hell, and he wants to spend some money, he's just not sure where...

and if he does the carport thing, I will get to submit a bid on building / assembling it.

think I need some scrambled eggs and toast before I fire up the shop. and let my chickens out to roam and eat grasshoppers...

I needa get some wiper blades before it rains thursday, but my stuff is leagal and current. (got my new tags and my insurance is good to christmas)

I'm over to mr vw's. gonna make some chow.

wallys' was outta chickens, so I'm cooking.

pork tenderloin with portabellas. and some steamed broccoli.

I stopped and powwowed with my internet folks, and bought 200 foot of cat5 cable.

gonna make my internets happen in the trailer, the shop, and the studio (my old trailer)

they will come relocate and configure the ends for me when I am ready for a fiddy dollar service call. and we don't hafta mess with the radio tower that I built for the last guy so I get awesome reception.

I am the tallest structure north of the river until you get to the actual cell tower that my signal comes from, a bonus from not throwing away any scrap metal with future use potential.

back after I go chat with bob by the pond. (he's still fishing out guppies)

and I get some tree frogs later...

the tenderloin is browning up, and the shrooms are melting...

it smells divine. but it's not ready yet...

gonna help out and current price some german bus pistons so he knows what to get for his old stock. make his internet connection pay for itself. I use it WAY more than he does.

but he has a shelf full of gold...

covered in grease and dust.

came home and decided to mow both of the empty lots north of me.

now I'm beat.

but when it rains tomorrow night, Ima feel much better.

A is for giant A-frame hoist that is now mine, and B is for portable band saw, much like the one I used on the stage last week.

the mowing for equipment program has been a major success this summer...

now I gotta crash. big day again tomorrow.

gotta take gram shopping between my own errands...
